Re: e-Scooter Share

I have faith in this now.Its 930pm and I'm staying up near hillcrest 2 miles north of downtown and I'm seeing some guy picking up the scooters and putting them in his car. They must have a general area they store them

Re: e-Scooter Share

I just dont understand how the bikes or scooters can be prevented from vandalism? How can u stop a group of teens who are bored and they decide they want to throw a bunch of scooters or bikes in the missouri river?

Re: e-Scooter Share

These e bike and e scooters will kill all the bikes at fixed stations. Noticed one here and the rack was full but bird, lime, and the others are being ridden all over and they are being dumped in random spots. Lots of them are kicked over, these scooters and bikes are gonna create a problem. I reall...

Re: India hits KC

Wonder if this will affect Indian students attending UMKC or just general immigration to KC from India. I believe this is the 2nd intercity homicide of an Indian Student plus the hate crime in Olathe

Re: What route makes the most sense for a beginning Light Rail line in KC?

The way Johnson County is set up its more attractive for a light rail line because its continuous in the way its built. The way Missouri is set up, its more attractive for Commuter Rail because you have a city followed by many stretches of nothing (Forest, Undeveloped Land, Farm, Rivers, etc) then y...

Re: Downtown Hy-Vee concept

Sounds like a convenience store....please do not replace our actual grocery store (they many of us use exclusively) with that. Its definitely not a convenience store, it has about the same amount of aisles of grocery as consetinos but a huge part is grab/go, hot food, similar to a whole foods but j...

Re: Downtown Hy-Vee concept

I had a chance to stop at the Downtown Des Moines yesterday and I was really impressed. Tons of hot food item selection in a buffet station setup you weigh by the pound or you can get prepared food at a taco station, sushi/hibachi station, deli, salad bar, italian, chinese, and an amazing looking ba...

Re: World Grocer - 3967 Main

I just feel like its gonna flop like the one at 39th/State Line in terms of being useful for the neighborhood. I think it was just a loophole for him to make it eventually into a liquor store.
I wish the only owner was the 888 market owner

Re: World Grocer - 3967 Main

I am very skeptical of this. the guy owns 5 liquor stores. Not a lot of grocery experience. I think if the grocery part fails he will just convert it to full blown liquor store

Re: Phase Three Streetcar Expansion

In however many years phase 3 would get built the striping would probably need to be redone anyway. I just think Armour has the density of people, the right businesses, and lots students who would use it. Linwood has nothing going, its not pedestrian friendly, its a hodgepodge of suburban/urban looki...

Re: Phase Three Streetcar Expansion

I think this is a perfect Phase 3 route, its one of the denser sections of the city with parking/traffic somewhat difficult along the entire stretch and its a route commuters/students would most likely take going to KU Med or working in the Service industry restaurants along 39th. Stops at Paseo/Arm...

Beignet in River Market adding 2nd location at the doomed Huddle House location but this menu looks to be expanded. I wonder how the worlds largest Ramen place does on that strech as well as the Wing place. I really missed his old restaurant he had in the Crossroads (Nica's) so I'm hoping its more l...
