Re: Interstate 70 KC to St Louis

Since about 90% of the cars in Europe are Manual, does having a manual make you more of an attentive and possibly better driver? I mean about 95% of the people in the US do not know how to drive a manual and they are unable to be stolen by most thieves.

Re: Interstate 70 KC to St Louis

I've done the KC-Chicago drive several times and 36 (CKC) is definitely my favorite route. Much less traffic, much less stress. I-70 needs to be completely dug out and started over. There's no other way to fix it. We were thinking yesterday how great the Hyperloop would be from KC to St Louis, or m...

Re: Interstate 70 KC to St Louis

I drove around Europe (UK, France and Netherlands) this summer and the way people drive alone makes me want to move there. People drive fast, but attentive without distraction. They always signal, they always immediately move over to the next lane after passing and each lane is progressively faster...

Re: Interstate 70 KC to St Louis

The only thing three lanes would do is let the big trucks drive 60 in the middle lane too. The state widened US 36 to keep traffic off of I-70 coming from Chicago. It's why it's called the Chicago to Kansas City expressway. I don't think it would matter, the shorter/faster/easier way to get from KC...

Re: Interstate 70 KC to St Louis

Perhaps one thing that would help with passing would be making I-70 three lanes between Kansas City and St. Louis. I have wanted to see that for a long time. I-70 is probably the most important part of Missouri's highway system and KC and STL are large enough cities (with Columbia in the middle) to...

Interstate 70 KC to St Louis

Just drove this weekend and I'm so done with this stretch of interstate. Its an absolute nightmare to drive. To many people drive in the left lane and refuse to get over so u have to pass in right lane. Truck passing is horrible on this stretch also. I really think Trucks shouldn't even be allowed t...

Re: Kansas, Missouri battle over companies

This would be a nice get and it would be great if Kansas and Missouri could work on this together. Most of these positions are PHD level type jobs. Wonder if USDA lobbying companies would set up offices in the new location as well. https://www.kansascity.com/news/business/workplace/article216894635....

Re: StL Blues break ground for new practice facility in StL Co

Most of the downtown teams do practice in a suburban location. I know the Milwaukee Bucks practice in an inner ring suburb of St Francis, the Vikings practice in Eagen (South Suburb) - Its probably just cheaper to do this then build something downtown next to the arena.

Re: StL Blues break ground for new practice facility in StL Co

I could honestly see the next Blues Arena being built in the burbs also, following the line of thinking with the Braves new stadium. I'm sure Blues country is much larger in the West County areas rather than South County and the Illinois Side

Re: "Tower East"

Was Martini Corner named that way just because a bar or 2 served martinis. With the bars around there now it might be hard to even find a martini

Re: "Tower East"

I am pretty sure Tower East refers to just the Businesses along 31st/cherry/gilham not the actual homes around this area. Kind of like W 39th - That is really marketed towards the businesses not the homes in that area, the homes in that area are in Volker/Roanoake, etc

Re: Renovations of apartment buildings along Armour Blvd.

Really want to see the Armour/Troost project pushed through sooner than later, if for no other reason than gaining an increased retail presence in the area. Even one or two decent restaurant/bars would change the sleepy feel of the neighborhood and make it a more livable, walkable place. I've alway...

I order the Scharmwa bowl all the time and I can never finish it, it comes with a nice side salad as well. The portions are huge when ordering the bowls, i have never ordered the Gyro/wrap before.

Re: The Russell on Main

I really do love this place, I love the design, the set up and the food but the thing that keeps me from becoming a regular is the price. $23 for a sandwich, upcharge on grilled veggies side (I think it was $3) and a drink with a small tip - That is over $100 a week on lunch if you wanted to eat her...

Re: Various restaurants coming to City

I also saw signs for Black Sheep on 39th Street, i think its taking the old AEP Thai Spot. How have we not hit some kind of restaurant bubble? Are we just getting so many new people into the city and visitors that we can support all of these? Some places have got to be hurting right?

Is there anyway to figure out if residents of Iceland or maybe just Europe are using the IcelandAir KC route?

Re: Lincoln Yards Chicago

It looks like there are about 3 pharmacies and a costco and target not very far from this project (all within a mile). I'm assuming there would be ped bridges set up if this project ever gets completed

Lincoln Yards Chicago

Saw this new project being considered in Chicago on the North Side near Lincoln Park Neighborhood. I wish we could get something built like this in KC. This project looks massive, who knows if it gets fully built. Wonder if Amazon HQ2 would consider this spot if it starts moving along? http://www.ch...
