Haven't the city limits greatly expanded since 1970

Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)

This is a stupid conversation. The Plaza owners could care less if you forgot your toothbrush. Use your finger. It is a remarkably dumb conversation. I mean, Burberry is moving out of the Plaza and we’re bringing in an Old Navy and a teen Christian rock clothing store and people are complaining abo...

Re: Martini Corner near 31st/Gilham

Speaking of Martini Corner, wonder why the old berbiglia and other building continue to just sit vacant, the owners must want to much? I think the building at SW corner of 31st/Gilham has been vacant since 2007, i think it was used briefly as an Obama or Claire McCaskill election station. Could be a...

Another place I've discovered in this area in the parking lot of the El Torreon called the Wild Way Coffee, its a cool little coffee trailer that sets up from in the morning and afternoon. Its great for commuters heading into to downtown. I really like the coffee and have been stopping quite a bit h...

Also across from Rock-A-Fire where the printing place use to be there is a new place is new called Eleve Dancewear, it looks like they make Leotards and other dancewear. Looks like they relocated from 1500 Grand but I noticed they have a little retail shop as well as a production area to make the le...

Re: NFL Draft

Its not an NFL city in the sense that it doesn't have a very deep fanbase or long history, i think the NFL is just going after the tourism dollars in this choice. I don't watch the NFL draft anyway so I don't really care, the whole thing seems like a produced entertainment spectacle, so maybe Nashvi...

Re: NFL Draft

Nashville has landed the 2019 draft. I have to say I'm pretty disappointed in this, Nashville is not an NFL city. I'm generally kind of pissed. I find Nashville kind of overrated and boring.

Re: Rankings, lists, and such

Even without looking I knew Minneapolis would be #1. I really love Minneapolis, its basically like the same city as Portland without all the Portland Prices in a more compact city. Its really a great city to explore neighborhoods, more people need to get up there, its an easy 6 hour drive.

Maybe we need Kansas City Missouri International Airport, most flight attendants say "Welcome to Kansas" over the loudspeaker when landing.

Altar'D State looks to be a Christian/Faith Based Clothing store, https://www.racked.com/2015/9/9/9280177/altard-state-christian-fashion-stores. It might be a good location since there are people that visit from NW Arkansas, Oklahoma and other parts that to be heavily religious. On the opposite end ...

Re: We need a new airport!!!

OKC actually has one named after a guy but its Will Rogers

This airport name change to MLK makes no sense though because he not from here, never really visited KC and the common theme in funky named airports is that all those people have made an impact in those cities.

I'm surprised we haven't seen a team split recently, I would think the TV revenues would be huge since that is where most of the owners are making their money. I actually think we could see one with Buffalo and Toronto for the Bills I doubt St Louis ever gets a team after the whole ABA Spirit of St ...

You don't _need_ HQs to fill up hotel rooms but helps. I kind of agree with this statment. Take a look at the Twin Cities. They have tons of huge powerful companies like 3M, General Mills, Cargill, Best Buy, Polaris, United Healthcare and they are all scatered in suburban areas all over the twin ci...

Re: Tom Colicchio-involved "Food Hall" to Mission Mall site?

How have we not hit some kind of restaurant bubble? There are so many new restaurants popping up, i'm having trouble keeping up. I am kind of cynical of these concepts popping up in the Suburbs because I just don't see the density to support them, these things work in Europe because people can walk ...

Re: Closed Bars and Restaurants

Don't think this was mentioned on here but all the Doughnut Lounges closed up last week. I was never really a fan of the place. I thought the Doughnuts really sucked and the place was kind of an identity crisis, was it trying to be a doughnut place or a restaurant or a bar? It did seem very odd that...

There are of course different styles of travelers depending on trip. Some are adventurous who go for AirBNB, some are biz people who just want a practical place like Marriott flags, some want a boutique hotel. I may want any of those depending on type of trip, often wanting to be in walking distanc...
