Re: KC metro growth and migration stats

I would be interested in seeing where most of the Twin Cities growth is going. I could see most of that population growth happening in Wisconsin where taxes are cheaper and home prices are a little lower

The old Thriftway near Westport/Main has some construction activity. Is it just prepping to lease or is there a tenant signed up?
I thought that Liquor store was going in that spot

It says another concept is going to go in, wonder what it could be. I could see something like Ruby Jeans go in there.

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments

Seems like a long time to wait. Hopefully it is sooner. JetBlue is announcing today they will be starting Transatlantic Service - Its still kind of crazy that one of the largest carriers still isn't flying here If Air Canada won't go a second place why is it surprising another airline wouldn't fly ...

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments

C-suite exec at JetBlue said that they will probably start MCI service once the new terminal comes online. Have heard similar from multiple other sources as well. Seems like a long time to wait. Hopefully it is sooner. JetBlue is announcing today they will be starting Transatlantic Service - Its st...

Will Screenland Crossroads be the only truely Indie/Art Focused theater left in KCMO? I think there are still a couple on the Kansas side

The pancakes were some of the best and I was a big fan of the meatball sub and Panini

The prices were also very reasonable and I liked the inside.

Advised when picking up breakfast this week that Cafe Attitude is closing Sunday.
Damn that place was my favorite. It just seemed like it could never get steady business. That area is a black hole for businesses. Kimchee I believe is the name lasted like 3 months

Re: Daycare Options

We did 3 years at the YMCA in midtown. It's a good program and it seems like everyone who went there got into AL. It's very diverse and welcoming of all walks of life. I also liked it cause I could use a credit card so what I would do is get a new credit card every 6 months or so when I hit the spen...

Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)

Families are not gonna want to go to a theater downtown because of one big issue and that is parking. We do love the Union Station theater, its usually empty and they have lots of family friendly movies for a great price Parking issues for two theatres along the streetcar line? I think we've proven...

Re: Kansas, Missouri battle over companies

I am not completely sure this falls in the the border war category, but Avenue Logistics (based out of Chicago) is looking for incentives to put 80 new jobs in the Crossroads at 18th and McGee. They currently have an office in OP. I am not sure how many are currently employed at the OP location and...

Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)

I hope another company (NOT Regal!) will take over the space in the old Seville Square building - there's no reason a cinema couldn't be profitable there with the right management. I'm really going to miss being able to decide to go to a movie at the last minute, have covered parking during incleme...
