Re: 20th and Walnut - Oddo Development

I suppose the ugly garage on the Bob Jones site is to accommodate this project.
The BDI / Bearing Distributors building north of this surely won't be around much longer at this rate

The condo org needs to relocate their security desk...the backside up against the glass is not a pretty sight. Now it's on prime display with this new public courtyard

^come on, that's a legitimate perception, though I'd say they are not drunk but mentally disturbed (or faking it) homeless people. Yes, most are harmless but they scare my wife enough that she wouldn't take the streetcar to the library by herself.

Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)

Lunetta's website has a page referencing a downtown market in KC. Are they tapped to design the proposed market on the west side of River Market? https://www.lunetta.design/#/downtownmarket/ The surrounding buildings are definitely supposed to be ones on the Plaza Looks like this project is actuall...

Re: VanTrust Plaza Office Buildings

50 Baltimore-- would that be the empty lot behind The (former?) Peanut? Replacing that building? Or in the parking lot behind Glacé, etc. where the hotel was proposed at one point?

Looks like 4901 Main would replace the 4 sorry US Bank building.

Did you find these on Compass?

Nice work! You can get a sense of the scale. What are the buildings you show to the north? It's only a one story neighbor.

The new construction looks far better in the new renderings than previous ones. The colors in the original renderings always made it look too clashing.
In the new rendering it appears that the SE corner portion next to the restaurant along 20th street lost a floor.

Re: OFFICIAL - City Club Apartments (former Midwest Hotel)

Are we thinking this will be stick frame on the upper floors on top of those 2 levels of concrete and steel framing? Or will the steel framing continue? I'm curious about the need for the crane.

EDIT: i guess it's a smaller crane here, like what they are using at RM West Phase 2

Re: Misc Crossroads News

How about a blanket ban on vending food from vehicles on public streets? Make it something allowable by invitation only, so the brewery/distillery/gallery / whatever without a kitchen can invite a specific food truck vendor for their special events, to be parked in front of their building. Also allo...
