Re: Crossroads - Art of Pizza

A little extra effort and a few bucks and they could have pulled up the carpet, polished the concrete floor, got rid of the wallpaper, and reupholstered the booths. My experience - The food is okay. I had a calzone. The crust was nice, sweet, and it wasn't too hard to cut into. The place, on the ot...

Scott Fitness coming to the Crossroads

I just heard from one of the co-owners that Scott Fitness will be opening a Crossroads location at 2020 Washington. Unveiling is July 6, but the gym won't be open at that time -- maybe later summer. http://maps.google.com/maps?client=safari&ie=UTF8&oe=UTF-8&q=2020+washington+64108&z=...

Curious, how exactly is it marked that you can do that?

Re: Crossroads Coffee House

Let's see what this new place has as their catch, besides good coffee and service (I hope). Anything can be better than the "service" me and some co-workers received at Coffee Girls one day. And by service I mean a patron basically yelling at someone in our party for absent-mindedly bring...

Re: Crossroads - Art of Pizza

I walk by this corner almost every day and I can't figure out which building this thread refers to. There's no patios anywhere and the two buildings on the corner look no where close to being ready to open by June.

I hope this isn't true. This place is awesome and would be a nice change of venue than all the newer classier bars once the arena opens.

Re: Dead pigeons

gotta say it's not fair to point out Nicholson.  I don't know that they do, or don't.  Just not appropriate to point at them speculatively.  Dozens of property owners actively exterminate pigeons and they drop where ever they are several hours after ingesting the grain.  I know that pigeons are a p...

Re: Dead pigeons

Poisoning pigeons is a Kansas City tradition.  The railroads and downtown property owners spread poison grain to keep down the population and to attempt to drive them away from their properties. Are you serious? Hopefully those who are poisoning them are also coming by the next day to clean up the ...

Dead pigeons

While walking home yesterday, I noticed a dead pigeon on Main around Nara. I didn't think much of it since dead birds aren't too uncommon of a thing. But this morning, as I was walking to work, there were about 7 dead pigeons right around the old Retro Inferno building (Souperman, MAC, etc.). Is som...

Town Topic in an upcoming commercial?

As I was walking home tonight, the Town Topic on Baltimore had a film crew inside and they were filming something. My instant guess was that it was a commercial, but it could've easily been something else. Does anyone have the scoop?

I spied an outdoor cafe permit inside Souperman yesterday morning -- so I'm assuming you'll be able to eat outside soon.

Play "I Never" Online

Check out Houlihan's virtual I Never game that me and my company created. It's pretty cool and you can invite friends.

Love to hear your thoughts on it.
