The side of the mall that used to house a Dillards store will soon be a 35,000-square-foot outdoor patio...

Does this mean a 35,000-square-foot slab of cement? Not including parking, of course.

Public meeting at 10 am on Sat, April 9 at Bingham Middle School (7618 Wyandotte) for info on the school's scheduled demolition. Demolition is scheduled to begin that following week.

I have to give a shout out for Westport Cafe. Lemon ricotta pancakes, shrimp and grits, and croque monsieur are just a few reasons.

I believe it just opened back up...

I hope there's some plan to improve bus/pedestrian access on the west side of the mall. There are no sidewalks at all on the south side of the bus stop.

I don't really get the Mission Transit Center location. Was the idea that there's parking there so you can leave your car and take the bus? Because I rarely see pedestrians in that area.

Seems counterintuitive to have a big bus stop that people aren't going to walk to.

Saw this place at 16th and Main as the MAX puttered by it last Saturday. Big signs on the corner of the building "NORA SAKE BAR." Didn't quite look open yet. Anyone know anything?

Kinda. But it's more of a "drunk in the middle of the night" sort of ambiance.
