Re: Downtown New Residential Units

MIXED FEELINGSSS Tell us more. Why? I like the looks of their first project. Scratch that. I was thinking cityscape=Cityclub apartments at 19th and main. Now I see that cityscape did the "Crossroads Westide" apartments, Apex and Summit at quality hill. Yeah, I'm skeptical of their urban a...

Re: The Gallerie - 27th & Gillham Apartments and Condos

Only 9 townhomes are now planned. The 'bus barn' on the west side of McGee which was originally to be demolished for a second grouping of townhomes is now planned to be renovated into an indoor/outdoor restaurant space with large garage door openings. They've brought on Hufft architects for this co...

Then please describe the very public efforts they made, and provide the examples (media clips, newspaper articles, press releases, public statements), because I'm just not seeing it. Hi, good morning. I never said it was a very public effort. However, I do know they put out an RFP for relocation an...

Smh, prove it that they worked hard at relocating those houses. I want some hard evidence and not hearsay.

It isn't hearsay if I know it.

Re: P&L District 10 years later

I enjoy days like this downtown with so many things going on. County Road’s signage is going up, the districts big screen is coming down and various other crews here and there. Nice, will have to get down and check out the Country Road signage. What's going on with the big screen? Upgrades? Yes, th...

Give them more options. They kill it because there are so few spots. But also, in some cities dogs don't use grass, they just lay it out on the curb or sidewalk. I feel like this is something that has not caught on around here as most of the dogs are really suburban dogs in disguise. If I was a bet...

Re: Hospital Hill activity

It isn't really being replaced by a park per se. I've heard that it is going to be more of a quiet reflection space for parents staying with RMC. Somewhere tranquil to destress/reflect/mourn, what have you, is the idea as I understand it. I also know that RMC worked very hard to try to relocate the ...

Re: We need a new airport!!!

Agree on the squeaker, I think a lot of them want to have it both ways. Definitely. I still feel that the prevailing argument is that KCMO voted >70% for this airport and voters want it now. They don't want it delayed by another round of infighting or litigation that could last for years. Let's get...

Re: Freshwater - Midtown

How does one "install" new retail? Do you kick existing folks out? You build new neighborhood retail. Create walkable streets with patios, benches, places to gather. Restaurants, bakerys, pubs, shops. We need to slow things down to make it attractive. Concur! That said, I'd heard Freshwat...

Re: OFFICIAL - 21c Museum Hotel KC (former Savoy Hotel)

I think there are a couple of errors in that notice. First it's in council district 4, not 2 and I'm fairly certain this is the SE corner of 9th/Wyandotte. This is the hypothetical building with a for certain parking deck. Correct. The CPC agenda is incorrect. This is the Rick Powell project on the...
