Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments
Why is the flight to Toronto so late in the day though? It doesn’t arrive until 8PM which makes it irrevalant as a stopover to European destinations. We have flown AC from MCI to Europe several times. Mostly to CPH. I recall this connection not being an issue, though maybe the times have shifted. A...

Re: Status and future of the River Market area??
Part of the idea as Dave says it to bring more eyes to the internal retail stalls which should, in theory, improve sales. This concept has been percolating for at least 5 years. The design of Walnut (at least as of a couple of years ago) would operate as something like a pedestrian street where cars...

Re: Power and Light District Official Tenant List
That's a bummer. I bought work clothes there just because it was close by and the constant sales make the prices right. It does strike me that got zero synergy from surrounding uses.

Re: P&L District: 13th & Walnut Site Proposal
I've never been for dinner only lunches weekday and weekends. Not sure most would think of BBQ on a Friday night at p&l. Those going p&l may pop in ai guess but for those not going there I'd guess most are looking for something nicer if coming downtown downtown for a weekend dinner. Really think th...

:? So back to Steve Miller. What's the pitch? I received his flier in the mail but all it touts his is construction law experience and time on the highway commission. What are his ideas, his vision for the city? I haven't heard that and perhaps incorrectly my sense of him is that he represents the C...

Re: City Center Square for sale
meh Check out those expanded retail terraces though. I'll take it. Also by reorienting the steps they're eliminating the ability to walk down the steps diagonally which is nice. I've seen more people fall on those few steps because almost no one walks straight down them but rather diagonal to get t...

Re: Prospect MAX
I don't like to think about a fixed-window bus plunging into a lake with freezing water and no way to lower the windows to escape. You could not escape through the operable windows, unless you're four inches wide. There are clearly marked emergency exit windows (and a hatch in the roof), in accorda...

Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)
Shields has put in an application going to the CPC tomorrow which would make the 1989 plaza bowl recommendations an ordinance: https://www.bizjournals.com/kansascity/news/2019/02/04/country-club-plaza-bowl-development-ordinance.html Clearly, this is in response to the Legacy development proposal. Exciting stuff. They're going to need some pretty intense development on that site given the sales price, no?
