Hopefully a building.

Re: Urban Living Pet Peeves

Do not move to my building. Most condos and apartments aren't designed for that kind of noise isolation. That pretty much settles it for me. I've flirted with buying a condo in KC but my wife is a professional pianist and earns her living as such. I am more of a hack but still enjoy playing guitar ...

There should at least be no driveway on Main. There is an alley behind the building, put the entrance there just like 1924 Main.

Aww man. They're going to use that as their parking lot aren't they.

The Velvet Freeze and adjacent lot look like shit. As bad as anything in the worst part of town. Graffiti covered and overgrown with weeds. They were cited months ago and nothing happens. Keep calling 311. Eventually they'll get fined enough or hauled into court to precipitate action. Does Slawson ...

Do not move to my building. Most condos and apartments aren't designed for that kind of noise isolation. Ditto. The golden rule applies here. Almost no condo building, especially loft conversions, will have sufficient sound insulation for that type of thing. And many people work from home. On the o...

Re: Generic ongoing KCATA thread

Sounds kind of like the 2020 version of the 1980 2014 excuse that we don't want transit because all the city criminals will use it to come rob us, which is a dramatically less offensive wording of something I was literally told as a child. I know you're not making that argument, but I think it dese...

Does anyone else think Vockrodt has gone off the deep end with this twitter exchange with Collison? https://twitter.com/kckansascity/status/1143653172860399616?s=20 Vockrodt seems representative of the Star hiring reporters who aren't reporting things, but are just misinterpreting their own bias as...

Very well done piece on Freedom’s role in the Brandon Ellington mailer. Henneberger is probably the lone bright light at the Star, on either side of the editorial wall.

Re: OFFICIAL - Reverb (1800 Walnut)

Opening in 2020. Neighborhood pushed back on the Walnut wall. Too sterile! Expect changes. Pushback on the streetwall or the overall east facade? Still sad to me that a very attractive, distinctive building was stripped of one of its primary architectural features in that geometric, skeletal skin. ...

If using racial epithets to denigrate a person of a different race makes you a racist then Bill Nigro is a racist by definition.
