Re: City Center Square for sale

Even a Walgreens would do well in that space. I know everybody has a thing for getting a target but I'd think a 3 light would pull that off easier. If these new Targets are really getting down to 17k sq ft, that feels way more like CVS, right? I'd think at that point they might find advantage in be...

Re: City Center Square for sale

ooh, i like that mildred's development. i remember a coffee rumor either in or around the union carbide building from a few/several months ago. i assume this is it. I think so, pretty great news for the block. I hope there's enough differentiation for Mildred's and Banksia to survive. Though they'r...

i assume there are vacancies on the west side of baltimore between the club building and the deli
Word on the street (and inferred from permits) is that Mildred's is moving to the LaRue building.

Not sure. It basically becomes loud(er) music and well-dressed youths carrying on but not really buying food.

Re: City Center Square for sale

Honestly what KC downtown dining is missing is a dense block of counter service restaurants whether they be a chain or local. We have a lot of dining but not in the quick counter service variety open past lunch. This can be witnessed everytime a volleyball convention is in town and cosentinos dinin...

So I walked through the lobbies after work today and I have to say there is a bit more space than I figured...it’s just crazy enough to work. Hopefully it proves true.

Re: City Center Square for sale

What's the interior Sq. ft. of the total space? 17,000 to 50,000 sq ft? https://www.forbes.com/sites/learnvest/2018/04/13/new-mini-target-stores-are-coming-to-these-cities-so-get-ready/#4920b56025aa Just looking at the Wicker Park location as an example--I suppose that would fit in the building. Re: City Center Square for sale

As much as I want this to be true, after thinking more about it I just don't see how the square footage exists for a Target if the existing exterior retail is to remain and the building is to have an office lobby. It just doesn't seem large enough at all. I WANT TO BE WRONG.

Re: City Center Square for sale

Rumor: Mega-retailer Target will be fitting a small-format store in the former food court of City Center Square (first floor). Between the escalators and the back stairs. All of the food court restaurants/ walls/ fixtures to be removed. Jason's Deli, Domino's, and Starbucks to remain. Rumor from so...

I went in a few weeks ago to grab some dessert-to-go on a Saturday night at 8pm and no one was in there.
The food was good, but the place never seemed to click.

Re: Phase 2 streetcar to UMKC

Obviously people like to have choices in elections, but since the new TDD has no resources yet and those revenue sources haven't been turned on, no one was interested in challenging the two directors with one-year terms. Ok, so the two original directors ran again unopposed and “won”. Thanks for cl...

Man, the food was so tasty though at Vildehast. It probably doesn't help that Parlor is apparently becoming a club on the weekend evenings from what the locals say.

A shame. I picked up lemon cake more than once--but I could never really understand the vibe of Cafe Europa.
