Re: Coney Island Dogs 7753 Q. Road

Went to Coney Island on Friday based on reading Recommended Daily. Independent shop. Small operation with 7 booths. The chili on the coneys is more of a chili sauce (Cincinnati-style). I think the coneys taste better here than from the Cincinnati chain, Skyline Chili. Most of the items are bought lo...

Print is just fine for me.  Didn't realize all the things you could visit on the orange line.

Re: Scarritt Renaissance Neighborhood - A Study in Neighborhood Reclaimation

This is being done is Scarritt Renaissance because the neighborhood association paid for all the preliminary work to get this on the docket.  The neighborhood association is active and wants to keep properties from falling into disrepair.  This is only a tool to help the neighborhood.

Metro North and Metcalf South Malls to be Redeveloped

I'm not quite sure where to put this as this pertains to two different areas of the metro.

Interesting article from the Business Journal.

Re: Cleveland Chiropractic College

I believe they are currently looking at existing buildings, but I may be wrong. According to their web site, they currently have 150,000 square feet of space.  I think that would be a bare minimum. One of the biggest issues with the school attempting to locate in the central city is parking.  They n...

Re: Cleveland Chiropractic College

The school started actively looking for another site before that news came out.

I can't believe the sellers of the Aventis site didn't even tell them that the final offer wasn't okay.  The school's final offer was in December.

As of right now, the sites I currently know about are in KCMO city limits.  That's all I can say right now.

Re: origins of MO and KS liquor laws

I have to agree with Boognish, Utah has some very unusual liquor laws.  I lived there for two years.

Re: Cleveland Chiropractic College

The buildings they are currently in are very nondescript.  It does not give them a campus feeling.  They need to find a site that will attract students to the school. The school orginally bought the current buildings from the Resolution Trust Corporation. The Baptist site could have potential if it ...

Re: Cleveland Chiropractic College

Someone did say something about Metro North Mall, but that could be a stretch.  I think they are very open to any site in the metro right now.

It won't be Cleveland Chiropractic, as far as I know.  It must be some other school.

Scarritt is planning a homes tour this summer.  Can't remember the exact dates.

The Scarritt Renaissance neighborhood now holds its homes tour every other year.

Re: Pendleton Heights

I live in the Northeast; however, I usually use the term Historic Northeast.  It's more specific than Northeast.

The reason being is if I say I live in the Northeast, they think I live in Excelsior Springs or Liberty area.

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium

I didn't see the video clip.

But when I voted for Jackson County legislators, I didn't vote for those bozos.  They should all be removed.

Maybe then they will get a clue about what really needs to happen in Jackson County.

Architectural Engineering Schools

I'm not sure where to post this, so please put it in the correct forum if necessary.

I was on another forum asking about architectural engineering schools.  Which ones are the best in the country?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
