Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium

Would that include some sort of support for the Chiefs, or is the city prepared to give up the Chiefs to Kansas or some other nearby location? I think Jackson County will work with the Chiefs to stay at Arrowhead. If they stay at the 3/8th cent they won’t need any city help at all. They keep the fu...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium

The city manager was asked if there will be another stadium vote this year. He said there just may not be a vote again. IMHO came off to me as: “this moving forward isn’t a done deal. We are trying but it may not advance. We will try” 100% not a done deal. Yea so his comment isn’t that this doesn’t...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium

I'm not saying they were materially the reason but the downtown voting bloc ending up such in the no camp the whole impacting the neighborhood had some impact. I'm just saying overall if a vote goes so badly and then the government finds a way to make it happen anyways without another vote, it typi...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium

Gonna get ugly if the city does this without a vote after losing the last vote so bad. Better have small business impacted on board They had nothing to do with the last vote. I'm sure the Royals have learned their lesson and would have a much better plan in place regarding displaced or impacted bus...

Alehouse shut down because it went for the quick cash and not the long play. They reformatted the music and tried to be a bottle service type nightclub opposed the original idea of a great sports and beer bar. They've had too many tavern disturbances, shootings and other forms of violence, includin...

No real updates at this time outside of the fact that the old Calverts building will be coming down any day now.

I've now heard from a random that target has signed for the star building. Just s random bartender so who knows the validity Where does said bartender work? That has been an ongoing rumor for such a long time. A bit hard to buy at this point. Yeah. Based on what I know it’s not true at all. Even if...

The Star pavilion will likely survive as something like an immersive art experience and museum similar to those established in other cities. https://meowwolf.com/ This would be fitting seeing that it conserves an already-built structure and saves the cost of demolition (where the City would likely ...

Utah had an organized onwership group. Can't miss a shot you dont even take Yeah. Agree with you was just more sharing my frustration. It’s also clear AEG doesn’t want a tenant either. Is AEG still on the hook for all annual maintenance costs or has the city let them off the hook from the OG contra...

I don’t have the authority to share the information. Not that it’s relevant but my own anecdotal experience is most people just wanted a better, more organized plan along with more information. You are always privy to important men's skivvies while they are lined up on a high light floor drooling o...

But only a small amount of people voted no because of the location or because they cared to save this area of the crossroads. You have exit polls to share? Or is this anecdote or from Sean Smith's unreliable opt-in internet form? Seriously, tell the team to do their homework and bring data. We're n...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium

What tax revenue do the teams generate for the city? Not property tax as the stadiums are owned by the county, correct? E-tax for player and staff salaries but even if the teams moved to KS some of those people might reside in KCMO still, so that plus sales tax on concessions. Let me know what othe...
