They wouldn’t but at least could cover operations. The Waldo area is ripe for dense redevelopment.

Re: OFFICIAL - Main Street Streetcar Extension

After looking at the plans in detail for the Main St Extension and the additional areas where the trams should be in dedicated right of way more often, I think they have done a pretty good job with this extension despite it not being center running. I still think they may have to ultimately figure ...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium

What is up with the Cards asking for 600 million? 600 million for relatively new stadium? I mean KC's new stadium will only cost 30% more! All in a market that consistently draws 35k a night? Meaning they have no reason to go crazy on renovations. They are dong this NOW? When KC is in the middle of...

I wish the former YMCA in downtown Kansas City at 10th and Oak had been converted to lofts and not demolished. https://kchistory.org/image/ymca-building-3?solr_nav%5Bid%5D=86c49a5d1fbed40615ee&solr_nav%5Bpage%5D=0&solr_nav%5Boffset%5D=15 Single room occupancy and dormitory housing likely ha...

If they are going to take it to the dump, I want to get some pieces.
I’d plan to check 1818 site at least daily if you want pieces.

Re: NYC Migrants Are Being Welcomed by Kansas City’s Mayor to Fill Jobs

This is just Lucas planning for his political future. He's young enough he bolts for Washington or NYC and is just posturing favors for job paybacks down the road. Bunch is probably trying the same thing but I'm not sure he catches anything. Maybe, a transportation middle manager for Buttigeig. Who...

Where are you seeing that? Jackson and KC websites show me 100% exempt but don’t say if it’s because of an incentive or because of property owner. I also see a CID in place.

Re: Generic ongoing KCATA thread

Correct me if I am wrong, but it seems like the quality and service of the KCATA bus system has fallen quite a bit since they made it free. I predicted it would happen. Nothing good comes from making a transit system free to use which is why there are pretty much no large high quality, high use tra...

But those issues were not found for decades post construction. And Kansas City’s special testing and inspections requirements during the construction process are what really catch those sorts of issues well before there is a major problem.
