That has been an ongoing rumor for such a long time. A bit hard to buy at this point.

Re: T-Mobile Center (formerly Sprint Center)

KC misses out again. Arizona Coyotes going to Utah. Utah had an organized onwership group. Can't miss a shot you dont even take Article I saw said still negotiating with the NHL and they aren’t happy with the current Delta Center in SLC in its current setup. They do have support from their governor...

Re: Generic ongoing KCATA thread

You can transfer the federal interest to another site. I was part of the team that planned these improvements. Not an impediment! So this site is still on the table for a ballpark? Again, I always though the KCATA needed to move from that location. They say it's a reason the agency can't even have ...

Re: Regional Transit Coordination

The marginal costs is actually not that much more for the most part. In the most complex urban sites your totally right but KC mostly doesn’t have those in the core. The other factor is that low density suburban developments is valued at Pennies on the dollar compared to even a modest urban core pro...

And it is like that because we have extreme low density over almost all of the region……I don’t understand your arguement against density helping this issue?

Re: Regional Transit Coordination

The suburbs are incentivized to the hilt. But urban development spreads those same service annd infra costs across an much greater number of residents. Also, prop tax abatement for a period still leaves you with all the benefits of sales and income tax. I understand the argument for density but do ...

Re: Regional Transit Coordination

There becomes a very real risk that the continued overloaded sales taxes will start to stifle the city economy. We have to find a new way to fund initiatives without carry on with the "Just add a sales tax!". Cough cough density cough cough state support We will never get anything from th...

Re: Regional Transit Coordination

For the love of god, do transit funding at the county level like a normal community. All the counties need to pass a transit tax. Manny Abarca Jackson Co. tweeted that he’d propose 3/8th cent for transit and housing. Unfortunately, that really only buys you a few buses and a few affordable units. P...

Re: Generic ongoing KCATA thread

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPv8DpliNp4 So I guess the KCATA is not moving anytime soon. Video mentions they are doing improvements in 2025. I thought they were going to sell that property and move to a larger facility and free up the land for a more appropriate use to help tie the Jazz Distric...

Re: Regional Transit Coordination

Lucas does not want to continue subsidizing other communities that choose not to invest in transit. Understandable. I’m not sure pulling kcmo’s funds will do anything to get them to pledge more dollars though. For the love of god, do transit funding at the county level like a normal community. All ...

Citizen petition…. Hearing rumblings about this assume it will be filed this week or next.

Floors 3-10 put up for lease. https://www.loopnet.com/Listing/1301-Main-St-Kansas-City-MO/31458092/ That's more than half the whole building! This is also why you focus on housing instead of trying to entice businesses back to the urban core. https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/companies/the-ceo-of-h-r...
