Re: OFFICIAL - Strata (H&R Block's 2nd Tower)

I am curious to see how Lucas votes and if he votes against it, whether he exercises his veto power. If he vetos, I don't see having the 9 out of 12 council people necessary to approve it. My guess is that it gets approved next time. Edits: 1. I am shocked that Loar suddenly cares about Cordish. 2....

Some more documents pertaining to the PIEA agenda item have been uploaded and it looks like this related to a development to the S and SE of the Hilton Home 2 Suites at 20th and Main. The proponent is 2020 Walnut LLC, which is the address of the Superior Moving and Storage warehouse building. They ...

Re: 20th and Walnut - Oddo Development

6 floors by 1/2 block should give us a whole lot more than just 100-130 units. I would guess closer to 250-400. City Club peaks at 6 floors with many lower sections plus and internal parking garage that takes up a significance amount of space. I agree - but the building doesn't span the whole block...

2) Who keeps granting permits for these places to park cars on the sidewalks?! I get it, the owner has a McLaren... Cool? Now go park it in the parking lot off to the side, not directly in the walking path and quit defacing the beautiful car with your business logo. IIRC, this is being done without...

Re: Four Light

A W or similar hotel would be nice. Does 35 floors include garage? It may also end up being a “Live by Lowe’s” hotel which is a newer partnership with Cordish and Lowes. I’m not sure the convention center hotel is a conflict since they’re very different concepts and customers. Check out the one in ...

Re: Old KCPS HQ - 12th & McGee

Could this block be a home for Waddell & Reed? Word is there's nothing to the 1034 Main discussion, which got me thinking: 12th and Mcgee would all but guarantee views of/from the south given Sprint Center's existence. Seems like a prime spot for a large office building relatively close to streetca...

Rumored to be 35 floors, confirmed by multiple sources (including Cordish renderings) to contain both a hotel and residential offerings. A recent Downtown KC release pegged this project at 300 units of residential plus the hotel making this one of downtowns biggest vertical projects in decades. A we...

Downtown KC website has the project pegged at 250 rooms on their spread sheet of projects.
