Re: We need a new airport!!!

Did anybody go to any of the open houses? What a waste of time and effort on the part of Edgemoor. Didn't provide a lick of value if you ask me.... It was basically "here is stuff you could find on the website" The first public sessions where you could vote on stuff and give meaningful feedback was...

Re: H&R Block's Second Tower?

The garage at 11th and Main has been prepped for a tower for decades and nothing has materialized. Till there is a tower crane up, I tend to expect nothing will happen. This is not just in KC, but in just about every mid sized city, but especially KC. With Cerner building 4 million sq ft and the Sp...

Icelandair is going 4 times weekly with a Max 8. Will be nice to have a brand new aircraft.
The other nice thing is the departure out of MCI will leave at 9PM vs. 5PM. This will allow arriving passengers into KEF to get there at a decent hour in the morning vs 430AM like they do today.

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments

Is SEA going away forever? i thought that was just a seasonal flight I had flown Southwest to Seattle in late February 2017, so I think it had been year-round for at least the past couple years. Given that Alaska always had and Delta began directs on that route this year, Southwest reducing and/or ...

Re: We need a new airport!!!

I will wait and see before I make put in my 2 cents. But, for right now, the renderings are of poor quality. SOM must be working on a very tight budget right now. Both B&M, and Aecoms renderings were light years better than these and they hadn't even been paid yet! For all of those who want to give...

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments

Is there anyway to figure out if residents of Iceland or maybe just Europe are using the IcelandAir KC route? Your best bet would be to see if Iceland (government) publishes that information. As for the O&D, from an international standpoint, in the US it is highly confidential (foreign vs. domestic...

Thanks. I'll take it!

Does it show time changes? So frequency is the same but now they leave at 4pm instead of 8a....thats the annoyance I'm trying to keep aware of.
Not on the public airliners.net link. I believe the industry tools show the time slot changes

On this month's TIF agenda is a proposal to demolish the Board of Education building at 12th & McGee and replace it with a 242-room Drury Plaza Hotel.

Includes 5,000 sqft of meeting space and 176 space garage.

See page 7 of the agenda.

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments

Does anybody know of a service that will tell you when airlines change flight schedules for a particular airport? Those services do exist but they are set up as a software to be sold to aviation industry users, not to the general public (https://www.oag.com/analytics/schedules-analyser) (https://am...

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments

Also, noticed Icelandair opened their schedule for part of summer next year. Looks like flights return at basically the same time as this year. 3x a week starting May 25. Correct, the airline agreed to service the route for two years with the incentive agreement in place. If it extends beyond seaso...

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments

I noticed Onejet quit running flights to PIT about a month or so ago without any warning. I saw someone on twitter complaining on being stranded. So I guess the route must be cut? I saw other routes by them see to have suffered the same fate. Anyone have more info on it? I don't have any additional...

People are already mad about this move saying they will no longer go to Pigwich/Local Pig because of the parking. Freestyle Poke is also having parking issues. I guess people are parking in the lot intended for the building but its only for restaurant patrons till 4pm, after 4 its for residents onl...

Looks like a crane or something very large is on the construction site of River Market West II. I am no engineer but it appears it is being used for drilling of some sort. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/If3F_Sk7TO-J2K8ioYtWXrg71uTxp99VuMD-noFFIToT0WoqS7R59KOuFnYxI_5bVG2XgwrhcWCMaE_aaG07PHfcelKI_...

This project never happened. The property was auctioned off last September. The owner is Amerco Real Estate in Phoenix, a subsidiary of U-Haul. It appears they operate a lot of self-storage facilities, so the former hotel might end up being a self-storage facility. http://www.loopnet.com/Listing/20...

One of the cooler historic preservation efforts was the fact they were able to retain almost all of the original sinks in the hotel room bathrooms.

So I guess the remnants of the old Savoy Grill, the nostalgia the article mentions, are limited to the bar? Correct...
