Re: On-going downtown development projects

This isn't necessarily a new development but did happen to see this listing on Cushman Wakefield - hope it gets bought and developed appropriately

Re: We need a new airport!!!

I don't see how AECOM's proposal offers a better financing package. There plan offered four potential terminal build options: 1. 35 gates with bells and whistles- same exact cost that has been discussed 2. 35 gates stripped down- minimal savings. 3. 25 gates (w/ potential to expand to 35 gates) and...

Re: We need a new airport!!!

I looked through the B&M proposal but had a hard time finding any actual renderings. Can somebody point me to where in the 300+ pages they are? Of the 3 proposals I like AECOM's "iconic" terminal best I think. Here ya go, all 367 pages: http://kcilovethisplace.com/wp-content/uploads/2...

Re: We need a new airport!!!

Just read through them (skimmed B&M's mostly). First thoughts are that this is really between AECOM and B&M. JLL's unique idea of design may sound more practical, but really would mean more walking and less convenience for the passenger. I personally liked B&M's better than AECOM's, but...

Re: We need a new airport!!!

Like them all for various reasons, even the practical ones. Unless there is a significant benefit not to go local, go local. I am not a finance major by any means, but the fact that Aecom can secure a better financing package and lower the annual payment by 15.4 million. Quote from page 6 of their ...

I liked Aecom's as well. It will be interesting to see how the city responds and if they will go "against" the hometown team....

Re: We need a new airport!!!

http://media.kansascity.com/livegraphics/2017/pdf/KCI-DVM.pdf JLL plan. I like the linear terminal idea. Seems more feasible, but their proposal looks like I put it together. I'd like to see something more developed, especially if they are planning to turn dirt the day after the election. Also no f...

Re: Phase 2 streetcar to UMKC

I'm more confident Question 1 will pass by a whopping margin. Why? As DaveKCMO correctly pointed out, it is a totally baseless gut feeling. I just suspect the wording of the question is maybe in touch with the mood of the moment. I'd love to be wrong. My fear is that because it has largely flown un...

Do you know how many ground floor spaces will be available along Truman Rd. when it opens?

As did Pulse Development and Block Co. - sort of goes against the "developers" being for the streetcar movement.

Well, in today's society you can sue for just about anything...so it probably depends on who their lawyer is and what they think will create the most harm to the project. It is too bad as CFRG is anti- just about everything....
