Re: Coffee

My favorite thing about PT's is their refillable glass growlers of "Cold Front" cold brew coffee. Good value - $10 to refill, $17 initially to buy growler. Lasts me 4-5 days & especially convenient to have on hand at home during warm months. http://www.ptscoffee.com/learn/pts-at-the-cr...

Re: Local Pig

The nouveau Farm to Market airy bread for my cheesesteak didn't work for me. Think this is the same bread used for the meatball banh mi. IMO these classic sandwiches are best with a classic bun, hoagie or baguette. Tried friend's burger which we both thought was just ok. Will go back for another try...

Re: Clark's American Carribean at 3623 Broadway

Went with a friend for some plates ($10.95) which come with red beans & rice, sauteed cabbage (supposedly carrots too but there weren't any) & cornbread. My jerk chicken was dry & the jerk seasoning was just ok. Cornbread was dry. Friend had chicken curry. Curry flavor was very forward, ...

Consistently delicious food in large portions. That tenderloin is huge. Salmon "rueben" w/ dill/caper/onion sauce was fantastic last week. Appreciate the friendly staff, low key vibe & variety of dishes. A regular spot on my lunch rotation now

Re: Best Middle Eastern / Mediterranean food in the KC area.

BTW my go-to place is Aladdin Cafe. I either (1) make a meal of my 2 favorite appetizers: Grilled rosemary shrimp & feta + Caulifower Zahra (so freaking tasty! Roasted cauliflower seasoned with garlic, chopped tomato and cilantro served w/ tahini sauce) or (2) Jasmines Vegetarian Combo (Hummus, ...
