Re: AirBnB Ideas

My god! That story is a mess! I'm so glad I read this. We are getting ready to move to the Pacific Northwest, and having only owned our Westside home for slightly over a year, are mulling over rental options rather than trying to sell. AirBNB has been part of the conversation, but this certainly giv...

Eh, I talked with probably 10 people who were all at the Crawfish Festival, and literally all of them had a miserable time. Bummer.

Re: Boulevardia - June 13-15, 2014

Wait - Are you saying that The Star gave a positive review to the event sponsored by Ink? GET OUT! Some of the most interesting feedback that I read was that the festival did a very poor job of communicating with the other businesses down there, never mind the residents. I guess there were a ton of ...

The space Anton is looking at is the one immediately to the North of Quay. It's not currently a restaurant, but instead a corporate landscaping spot.

Re: Proposed apartment for 13th and Walnut

my understanding is that the Jones is no more, and that the pool will be a dual amenity to both the apartment tower and the gym going in above Cosentino's.

Re: Misc Crossroads News

It's a beautiful store that only works with animals that died of natural causes. It's on par with some stores I've seen in SF and Portland. One of my favorite stores in town.

Re: P&L District: 13th & Main Site Proposal

Between this new gym, Cosentinos and Alamo Drafthouse, I will be spending just a stupid amount of time and money in the P&L. So glad to finally have a decent gym option downtown.

Re: Bridgeport Church moving into El Torreon Ballroom

For fucks sake. A church taking over ANOTHER venue? And yes, I know that El Torreon hasn't held shows in quite some time, but it gets on my nerves that in the urban core of Kansas City you can throw a rock in the air and it'll land on some hip church.

lots of Westsiders on the board, huh? I recently bought a place in the Lower Westside, and it's been fantastic. Never could have dreamed that I'd be able to afford a house like this right in the city!

Bobbyhawks, you're my new favorite person. I just moved one block from the Aguirre Center and had no idea that they have a pool. The husband has been looking for a place to swim laps.

do you think this was part of the reason for The Stables going under? Maybe they'll be rehabbing that property as well, since they'll share a garage entrance.

Re: Status and future of the River Market area??

C&L might be making a profit, but they are one of the most poorly ran businesses I have ever seen. Most everybody I know that gave them a fair shake when they opened won't even bother stepping in now.
