Re: New police station set to open at 77th and Prospect
I've been wondering what they were putting in there. This is good news for that area.
Anybody know what the plan is for the old site? It will be a shame to have this huge space just sit empty...

Re: Old brick silo at I-35 & SW Blvd.
Their site says of the brewery:
"The Southwest Boulevard & Genessee site is slated for future renovation and development."
So if it's for sale... what are these plans they speak of, I wonder.

Re: Neighbors Help Catch Brookside Robbers
Thanks... I'm in complete agreement. We are planning on having a block party in mid-October so that we can all exchange info and set up an e-mail distribution list. That way we can keep one another abreast of goings-on in the neighborhood.

Re: Neighbors Help Catch Brookside Robbers
Oh... gotcha. Yeah... There were two others caught. The police seemed to think that they were all a part of the same "team." I've been told that there hadn't been much activity like this over the past several years, but this year our neighborhood seems to have been targeted. Wish I knew wh...

Re: Neighbors Help Catch Brookside Robbers
Not sure what your asking... Last Thursday a woman three doors down from us heard a loud banging sound and walked out to see three guys trying to break our front door down. I'm assuming because they were interrupted that they were pissed and decided to come back. This time they tried to go through t...

Neighbors Help Catch Brookside Robbers
Some *ssholes tried to break into our home last Thursday. One of our neighbors interrupted them trying to ram our door down and they ran off... Yesterday (Tuesday), I was on a call with a client, and when I got off, I had 3 missed calls and a text from my another neighbor telling me I had better com...

Re: What's holding back new members?
I check this place out countless times throughout the day, but it seems there are never really any discussions or attempts to see a point from another person's point of view. I can't tell how many times I've started typing something only to kill it cuz I didn't want to get dragged down into an 'I'...

Re: KC top in "Abandoned Cities" list
 Sad, but true-ish IMOP, the "findings" in that article almost worthless... The article talks about the Metro, but the data used is from KCMO and KCK only. If you want an accurate picture of the metro you aren?t going to only look at those two; you want to also look at NKC, OP, PV, ...
