^Thought 500 was limit set about a month ago. Amusing it shows a pic of illegal usage - riding on sidewalk by city employee? Some gaps that could be filled by either operator: Armour Blvd, Roanoke/W Plaza, more in Columbus Park, Southmoreland, generally more E of Main in Midtown And the kickstand i...

6. No front setback anywhere in the urban core, recreate and use alleys. Go look at 25th and Michigan (just east of 71) and imagine that block with no front setback and shared parking in the rear. It would feel entirely different Agree about 25th and Michigan. A good start with house design, but wi...

This is really positive news - I assume KC will keep its other port. With the difficulties trucking is experiencing - demand for commodity barge traffic should really accelerate over the next couple of years.

Re: UMKC Conservatory of Music considers move to downtown

Theis Park is a joke, never used and is simply open space. If the right developer or project came along, the city should seriously consider the exchange. I disagree - We have often had picnics or just hang out here. We have also hired someone to set up bubble soccer a couple of times for my daughte...

Re: UMKC Conservatory of Music considers move to downtown

Moving Rockhurst out of the area won't add 10k students to UMKC. Those kids won't transfer because Rockhust moved. Correct. I looked up the Rockhurst enrollment. They only have about 3k students. So, wouldn’t increase UMKC numbers even if everyone transferred. It would provide additional facilities...

Re: We need a new airport!!!

On a slightly different topic I was extremely surprised to find a shoe shine man operational by Delta (Concourse B) Monday at 6:30 am. Of course I had to avail my self of his services. He said it has been 17 years since KC has allowed a shoeshine to operate - which would be very strange if true. Reg...
