Re: Three Light

What hotels work with Cordish? Hyatt obviously wants back into the market, but not sure they're a fit. 100% agree on office space. All of our developers seem happy to sit on land though and wait for a premade project to come at them. We desperately need a few big employers to move downtown. There's...

If it was a curb, people would still try and park there. The yellow bollards say something pretty specific.

People actually tried to park up on the curbs to stay out of the street car [-X

That area is brutal at delaying the streetcar. I'm guessing it was the quickest, cheapest solution to the problem that had to be fixed. It should have been bumped out at design, but oh well. They fixed it :)

Re: Three Light

I was excited to think that 3 Light would begin construction as soon as 2 Light was completed (as when first announced). I should have known that would be too ambitious for KC  As it all depends on how fast 2 fills up, now I think it could be up to a year or more before they break ground. I u...

Re: Downtown Delivery

Within the last week, cluster truck has gone from $5 off of $20 to $5 off $35.

I still think it's stupid expensive. Looks like they're targeting offices now maybe. Always very good service.

And they'll only carry four people each. WTF?

I mean I normally pretend to get the mail if I can't take the elevator by myself, so this sounds like hell.

Re: Old Federal Reserve (925 Grand)

Owner isn’t responding, the city is holding hearings because of this. Trick is to report it more often and get more people reporting. The process is stupid slow but it’s happening. Every time I report it they just close it out. I assume because it's duplicate. I've never gotten beyond an initial in...

Re: Old Federal Reserve (925 Grand)

If I start scooping up the dead birds and sending them to the city inspectors, would they start to care? Or are we just destined to live with this literal shit hole for years? There's been a dead one there waiting for them for a few days now. It's even worse in the winter when the bird crap and feat...

Re: OFFICIAL - 909 Walnut

It's literally in the article :D The original plan was to begin converting 909 Walnut into condominiums after five years, but the Great Recession of 2008 got in the way. Solomon said only about seven units were sold including the multi-million dollar two-story penthouse unit at the very top which in...

Re: We need a new airport!!!

Since MO is at present right-to-work, is it even legal to require only union workers? There is a MO law that prohibits projects favoring unions over non-union. I am not a lawyer and won't pretend to be for this discussion. There is also a law the prohibits usage fees for pork too. I again won't pre...

And he brought up that the city doesn't have to build garages just when cordish asks, that there has to be an actual plan in place...for the next 99 years.

So I'm guessing everyone wants to bitch about the developer agreement before they pass this.

Re: Three Light

Who was there on the behalf of Cordish today? It wasn't discussed. Speculating here, but I think they wanted this meeting to be about the airport but also knew a lot of people wanted to talk about cordish, so they tabled it a week. There wasn't any objection, just a "okay well this is all mand...
