Re: What operating system do you use?
I used to build my own Windows based machines for fun. Now I use Mac for work (design), so I stick with them. My Macbook does have a version of Windows Vista running on it.

Re: If someone wants to live in a vibrant big city, should he/she move to KC?
Every city has it's flaws, so perhaps this thread should be what would make KC better. I don't see why someone would want their city to strive to be like any other city, such as Chicago. I love going to Milwaukee because it's not Chicago , where I live. I don't think I would be half as excited abou...

Re: If someone wants to live in a vibrant big city, should he/she move to KC?
My first trip to KC (from Chicago) will come at the end of July. I'll be spending three days and three nights in your fair city. If the culture is half as cool/fun as this forum I don't think I'll be disappointed. I was talking to some of my co-workers about vacationing. They asked me where I was go...

Purchased a ticket a few minutes ago. Behind the plate, box seat and parking for under $50. Can't beat that!

Re: Taking in a Royals Game (for the visiting baseball fan)
Thanks folks! It looks like I am going to see the Royals play the Rays on Thursday, July 24th. I am having trouble picking my ticket up online but it looks like there are great seats to be had and at a good price (unlike Wrigley, here in Chicago). It will be ladies night, so no free stuff for me.

Re: KC STAR Outsourcing jobs to india
They were told their last day would be in July BUT before she goes, she has to train her replacement that is going to be flown in. To top it all off - they won't give letters of recommendation to help them land another job! This is so wrong and unpatriotic! Can't wait until my job is outsourced at ...

Taking in a Royals Game (for the visiting baseball fan)
Hey all. I'm coming out to Kansas City for a three day stay in late July. I see that the Royals will be at home during this time (vs TB). I think I'll take in a game - my first. I thought I would make a post to get your take on the eighth-oldest stadium in MLB. What food is good, what to stay away f...

Does Waldo Pizza sell by the slice? I've seen it on a lot of lists here.
Sorry, I missed this question. Wine and Dine, of course. Music (classical to punk), Local history. Architecture. Art. Sporting events. Fairs.AJoD wrote:

Re: Suggestions For The Outsider...
Just FWIW-can that word "outsider" - to me, that is just a nasty way to say someone doesn't "belong" here. I've lived as an "outsider" in both STL and KC. It is just a hateful way to segregate folks. Just my opinion. Changed. Outsider does seem a little dramatic. Thank...

From one Midwesterner (Chicago) to another, hullo! You certainly have a very lively and informative forum going on here. Very impressive. At the end of July I intend to make a cross-country trip, with my car pointed decidedly southwest. This means I'll be stopping by your fair city, something I am ...
