Re: Would you like to see the Royals move to a downtown stadium?

I'd put it in the West Bottoms close to Hy Vee Arena, with one side of the stadium in Kansas and the other in Missouri (hello bi-state tax). Parking space can be found/already exists and can be purchased or borrowed from Hy Vee Arena with the possibility of a streetcar spur over time. Offices can b...

Will be razed. Structurally unsound. Completely riddled with termite damage.
Probably to provide more parking to appease the NIMBYs in the Hyde Park Neighborhood Assn.

It is really positive they were able to acquire these parcels. The building in question is architecturally interesting, if a bit grimy and worn down. Would be interested to see what the status of the interior is.

Re: Would you like to see the Royals move to a downtown stadium?

Keep it where it is at please. I know that neighborhood sucks, but what additional bars, restaurants, and new hotels on all the parking seas around the complex in addition to some renovations? $800m for a new stadium is not a wise use of money imo.

Re: High Speed Rail - someday?

Land acquisition costs and legal expenses are extremely high. Its the main reason CalTrans project is way over budget. Literally paying almond farms decades of future profits for running HSR through their land. Chinese govt does not have that problem. Best bet is to upgrade shorter, highest density ...

More apartments and density will help increase safety & add traffic to the non-bar businesses especially on non-weekends.

But F Jonny Kaw's owner for being so against the streetcar.

Re: Westport

This prediction seems a lot more likely, given that a future location of the Johnny Kaw's empire is Char Bar's address . My long shot guess is that Char Bar will either temporarily or permanently move to McCoy's/Sailor Jack's space, using the currently parking lot as a lawn. This would let Char Bar...

Agent in leasing office said that they are way behind in the projections and goals for leasing.
Didn’t anyone else not know that they were leasing yet?
Ton of inventory in the dead of winter. Sounds like this is the same story citywide for new projects.

Building's owner is saying Apartments and Nordstrom Rack
From the article:
The new owners of the Jack Henry Building couldn’t be reached for comment.
That was the Tomfooleries owner who mentioned Nordstrom Rack and apartments.

Nothing wrong with a classic aircooled 911 an an older Cayenne for the winter. I have seen worse (handwritten) plan drawings submitted by architects before. It's just a basic sketch used for sales purposes to show floorplan, the other two sections are on the website. No real need to make them absolu...
