Re: Politics

The economy is also (again) top heavy in its growth. No wage growth, big stock buy backs.

Re: River Market to Cliff Drive Bike Connection

Wow, that sounds cool!

I agree the CP entrance is a bit sketchy, would be nice to get some streetscaping out that direction to attract users.

We were down there for the Charlie Parker celebration last year with Chuck Haddix as he led a tour of the buildings in the area.

Re: Capping the Loop

The plan isn't to cap the north loop, but eliminate it completely, hopefully with buried parking garages.

Truly capping the south loop, in the way that most think is too expensive, even with Cordsih. What would likely happen is some sort of sectional vented cap, not a tunnel.

Let's design all of our car infrastructure around the twice daily 30 minutes periods that KC seems "congested".

Re: UMKC Conservatory of Music considers move to downtown

IIRC that particular deal is dead since the local funds were withdrawn.

There would likely need to be a new local deal in place before legislation could advance.

So on off days it was quoting a connection to another US hub? Not apples to apples then. Thanks.

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments

I want the new Icelandair route to be successful. That's why I looked up pricing for a trip there. It was an alternate destination to a trip to Mexico or west coast location. But, at that price, it's not a good product and it's not fair to demand support for an inferior product. I would have though...

Better to charge for parking and use that to reduce costs, either to the subsidy or BAP.
