Re: GO CHIEFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We're already in the "no jinx" phase.

If we don't talk about it, maybe it will keep happening!

Marin just by itself can keep you busy.

Marin Headlands, Stinson Beach, Dipsea Trail, Mt. Tam

Re: Bay Area short term job/suggestions/help

We stay in Marin often as we have relatives in Mill Valley and try to use the ferries from either Sausalito or Larkspur.

We did have a car last trip since the folks were with us and didn't find the drive into SF that bad at all. Of course timing is everything.

Re: GO ROYALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the locations need to be vetted with the question, "Will these locations develop without the stadium in a reasonable amount of time?" North Loop-yes Riverfront-yes East Village-no 18th/Vine-no I haven't heard much discussion about Jackson County Jail or Washington Sq. They are neutral I gues...

Re: GO ROYALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have no faith that KC is the city to pull off a TOD dream stadium.

The best we could hope for is to fall in the middle of that list. Not worth the risk of having that in the cbd.

Re: Lee's Summit named

I hadn't been to downtown Lee's Summit in probably 15 years, so I was happily impressed when I finally got around to it this week. Had lunch at 3rd Street Social which has a very good menu and atmosphere. Bigger than I anticipated, they have put a lot of thought into the layout. In addition to table...

I've been to the house a few times and never noticed any negative aspects in that regard.

The place is mind boggling.

Re: Misc Crossroads News

Art is like jazz, people feel they should like it but most really don’t. First Fridays isn’t about art and never has been. Same with the Plaza art fair. The art is just an excuse for what people really want, an opportunity to be part of a community and have an experience in an interesting environme...

I don't get this "giving up an urban event" thing.

It will revert to what it was 5 years ago when it was a huge success.

Re: Would you like to see the Royals move to a downtown stadium?

We should want this to make downtown bigger, an impetus to push development outward. East Village would fit the bill also.

It is currently a 23 minute walk from 18th/Vine to the streetcar line. Even if you didn't build a line down 18th street, with scooters/bikes/uber the distance in negligible.

Re: Would you like to see the Royals move to a downtown stadium?

There is no reason to put the stadium anywhere near the current streetcar line.

Bundle the new line in to any agreement for a stadium.

Re: Would you like to see the Royals move to a downtown stadium?

Make a new line to wherever is chosen as part of the deal. 18th/Vine is the best option imho.

closed on Monday or I would eat there tonight
I read it's closed MTW.
Yes ended up going to Streetcar Grille, it's okay....
I found it very Cashew-ish. It will be a hit across from Hampton, accessible and good for families/groups.
