Sam's would be on the West side of I-35...the dirt moving is for Pizza Ranch and the tire joint.

Not sure if this one's been covered, but there was an episode of Crominal Minds that featured a SAW copycat in KCK.  http://www.tv.com/criminal-minds/legacy ... mmary.html

Anyone know the result of the auction?  They believed it was a $40 million property with a beginning bid of $1.5 million.

QUESTION:  Why is the "best before" date on the seasonal brews significantly shorter than the year-round brews?  For example...I bought Nutcracker and Single Wide IPA on the same day in late December.  I have one bottle of each left and the Nutcracker "expired" in January and the...

Re: Folgers Plant closing summer 2012

This thread has taken an interesting turn toward hydrogenated fats rather than the loss of a signature DT firm and a few hundred jobs.  With that said, it was a biz decision and we really shouldn't expect Smucker's to give a rip about KC.  Much like many of us in the current economy, brand (location...

Odessa = 3400 Job Project????

Any insight on the BIG announcement allegedly being made tomorrow in Odessa?  I can't imagine a 3400 person employer, but it would probably good for everyone.  I'm skeptical.

Anyone know anything?

So how are 2 levels of the parking structure SUBMERGED....did a water line break?  The cold won't damage the building, but if it's submerged and a massive volume of h2o expands, damage may occur.  If it's not submerged, no sweat....how many years was the View exposed to the elements without care?

Re: Balancing Security and Liberty

Only point was that 'experts' will give varying opinions, not that I was accepting the one I posted, which is as ridiculous as the false sense of security one might think scanning provides.  Manufacturers will make claims to sell their products.  But I'll back off the safety argument... as even if ...

^I'd bet the source is from the security depts and scanner equipment makers... http://www.infowars.com/full-body-scanners-to-fry-travelers-with-radiation/ Even if it were low risk, do you allow the Feds to bombard our bodies (and privacy) at their will?  When we do this for medical reasons, we choo...

Re: Balancing Security and Liberty

Why is anyone concerned about "privacy?"  We're talking about someone in another room looking at pics of our bones.  The whole argument is pretty silly and I'm willing to bet a rebellious faction had equal concern when the current era of detectors were commissioned in the 70's. I guess sin...

Re: Balancing Security and Liberty

^That's fine if you don't mind, but it's still a pretty significant invasion of privacy.  If you grant it, that's not invasion. The way the airport security works, it's somewhat assuming you are guilty before proven innocent.  Scanning luggage is a reasonable compromise given extra security is nece...

So you sold a CAR without even considering a bill of sale or taking down the buyers info?  This is amazing to me.

I'm the biggest privacy advocate you'll ever meet, but I have absolutely no issue with an x-ray that might show the size of my "guy parts."  Big freaking deal.  Let's say my x-ray is hacked...so what?  If someone wants to make skeletal pron at my skinless expense, have at it...absolutely n...

Re: Liberty Triangle

I'm on vacation until the 30th so I'm going to ramble. 1) I see a building going up next to the USbank / Culvers, any ideas? 2) Last night driving home from work on MO152 (savory the thought of being on vacation) I was thinking another lane will soon be needed.  In my opinion MO152 should have been...
