Re: Status and future of the River Market area??
Yes still on the board and going back and forth on material costs thru VE process and of course rigidity of planning dept on unconventionals. Some hidden costs arising like a new water line from 3rd, fire suppression, occupancy, blah, blah, blah. Going to infrared and fans for 3-season and most like...

Re: Status and future of the River Market area??
Weatherproofed + HVAC + a conga line on friday nights but all comments spot on. It is ALL we can do at the moment to solve temporary or longer needs so we are doing it and whatever follows will follow when ready. Containers notion itself is somewhat of a novelty but interesting and friendly but will...

Re: Status and future of the River Market area??
I’ve heard 2nd and Delaware has plenty of extra parking. Great, so they should reach an agreement with the owner of the lot on the SE corner of 2nd & D to take on those leased spaces. A new building on that surface lot could turn the intersection into one the most beautiful in the city. Okay so...

Re: Status and future of the River Market area??
patience grasshopper. it is an incredibly twisted area between HOA's, utility easements (4th and N-S alley) and legacy parking agmts that essentially prohibit removal of a single parking space much less provide for relocation during construction - thus ready for another garage? And who pays for the ...

Temporal Pedestrian Streets
Curious to see comments on something I've pitched a few times regarding a pedestrian Delaware. Pre-COVID I thought this sleepy one-way did not serve car traffic well vs Wyandotte, etc except maybe the ~30 cars parked overnight and a near-5th parking lot ingress (which could easily be solved by rever...

Re: We are getting a new airport!!!
As a visitor to MCI - should be KCI? - does anyone know whether we can expect an automated tram to rental cars or is it overlooked that we have to take the randomly-timed, crowded and slow busses? Very old school transit and even more reason to embrace Uber if so. Patrick Klein mentioned this relat...

Milk Market - Denver Central Market - Edgewater Public Market - Stapleton Market and a few ...

Re: Katz on Main
I tried to buy this treasure a few years back but did not have as grandiose plans as Lux which seemingly looked interesting as long as the facade was preserved. Couldn't make a deal then and post this face-off I reached out again and was told posturing was occuring. Two items stuck out as verboten. ...

The best incentive for adding solar would be for the federal and state governments to give tax credits to individual homeowners and businesses that add solar to their properties. This creates additional demand for the solar panel industry, and encourage further battery storage research and developm...

Still a placeholder, yes it should have at least one more floor - pending FAA exemption with F/C it should have a couple more. Office? Hotel? Resi? Trolling for demand.

great to see everyone energized on the subject(s). yes china had "access" to cheap/free labor + eminent domain of sorts. overlay that effort onto the US and it might be decades on legal/political alone. good data on national and regional power. I thought my data was a few yrs old but someo...
