Re: more MO vs KS

^ don't be upset, why deny it? You are both Kansans. Nota you mention you were born there in a thread. Just accept it. It's a little funny - you know - the obsession. Um, no. I moved to KS after 10 years in MO. Although I still own (and rent out) my KS house, I moved back to MO almost a year ago. Ha...

Re: Blogs about KC visits

Why doesn't kc just raise the sales tax by 1 cent to fund some army of snow plows to plow every single street in the city of over 300 square miles any time it might snow or ice over? .......... The only way to fix the snow removal fetish people have in KC is to set aside a ridiculous amount of the ...

You are only seeing a portion of the piece they are using for that section.

I could be mistaken but I believe the flyer has more letters to come (to the right of what's there now) that will eventually make sense.

Re: George Brett's to become Brazilian Steakhouse

The 20-30 demographic looking for a night-on-the-town-good-time may not be thinking about packing away all you can eat poundage of various animals over a 2 hour period, then clubbing some more.

How many steak joints are in P&L?

Re: George Brett's to become Brazilian Steakhouse

Plaza two P&L zero (810 sports zone now this) this would have been an awesome draw to the P&L. The Brazilian churrascaria joints are not for drinkers/partiers/tourists, they are for carnivores that want to do nothing but sit and dine for 2 hours, then waddle to a nap. The Plaza is a better ...

Re: Dismantling of Great Mall (ongoing)

There is no comparison between The Great Mall and The Legends. I think a closer  comparison can be found in the Great Mall and The Power and Light Downtown Strip Mall. You just might be right there Justin. A quick google of nearby amenities & attractions supports your fair and accurate logic. K...

I think these are cool over the street. San Diego does things really well. The City Market has one, 18th & Vine should also. I like the idea of the neon on a rooftop also. http://www.visit-san-diego.com/Gaslamp-Sign.jpg http://www.terrazasandiego.com/images/gaslampQuaterSign.jpg http://www.ineto...

Re: OFFICIAL: Liberty Memorial Museum

^ Development doesn't work like that. Developers build where there is value and profit. New construction development hasn't happened in midtown. We can't hope that it happens and somehow flows northward into downtown. The exact opposite is the case - the way KC originally developed naturally. KC dev...

Re: OFFICIAL: Liberty Memorial Museum

The WWI Museum is called the Nation's only war memorial to commemorate those who sacrificed in the First World War; thus, it should be a national park so that the entire country can help fund it and not just the people of KCMO. Well we've already funded it. So now turn it over to the Feds after we'...
