Re: Zona Rosa parking meter money towards charity and tickets
STOP BITCHING. If you don't want to pay it, don't pay it. It's not like you have to pay the fine anyway. It hasn't kept anyone from parking along the street at all. As for the money going to charity, Steiner donates all of their proceeds to a different charity organization every year and donated ove...

Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)
I think the plaza needs an H&M in the old Banana Republic location and a Zara in the old Sony Style between Sur La Table and Burberry or vice versa. Diesel Store or bring back a Ralph Lauren boutique next to Michael Kors.

Re: OFFICIAL: Zona Rosa (tenants & phase II)
Zona Rosa, Interstate 29 and Barry Road, will soon be home to two new entertainment offerings. Studio Movie Grill, based in Dallas, will open a new upscale, eight-screen, ?movie grill? concept. It will feature first-run movies with 100-percent digital projection, Dolby Digital Surround Sound and Dol...

Re: OFFICIAL: Zona Rosa (tenants & phase II)
Reb Robin and Nature's Table are no longer coming to Zona Rosa. Rumor has it that Stone Canyon Pizza might be in negotiations somewhere in the shopping center along with Verizon Wireless. I walked inside the space where Red Robin was going in and where the old Rib Crib was and it is completely gutte...

Re: OFFICIAL: Power & Light District
Any word on the Power and Light Condos? I couldn't find any recent news on the project on the forum or online and I tried their website and it's either shutdown or not loading. I hope this project hasn't failed now like the others, it really sucks seeing so many good looking projects die ( example: ...

Tell her Zara, H&M (old Mark Shale location behind Cheesecake is a perfect spot for it, in my opinion, with the 2 Levels, it'd be comparable to their new flagship stores in New York.) Louis Vuitton, Hugo Boss, Lacoste, Michael Kors, Dean and Deluca, West Elm, and to bring back Ralph Lauren. :P ...

Re: OFFICIAL: Zona Rosa (tenants & phase II)
Has anyone heard of any other stores that are confirmed or in negotiations for the second phase? The construction is already reaching full completion and theres less than a handful of tenants. Are they having trouble scoring new tenants since many aren't expanding? I would expect to see a full line-...

Re: OFFICIAL: Zona Rosa (tenants & phase II)
In a KC Star article, Steiner stated that they will have the Majestic space leased by fall and that there are plans for a new theater concept for phase II. Why would they want a new theater when the first one failed? I'm thinking that the new theater concept might be iPic. It's a similar concept, wi...

Re: OFFICIAL: Zona Rosa (tenants & phase II)
Every shopping center in the KC metro is struggling right now. Just look at how many places in the Legends that have closed with only a couple years of being open. I think that Zona Rosa will struggle, but I believe it will survive, no doubt about it. It's the only destination shopping center in the...

Anyone see the moon outside tonight? It looks pretty cool. there's like two rings around it. I might be easily amused, but I don't think I've ever seen it look like this. Didn't know where else to post this.

I was at that car wash this weekend waiting in line and the woman at the booth told me that she heard a developer was using the land to build loft buildings and use an existing building for lofts and offices. We were talking about how horrible of a location for residential that is. It's right next t...

The Streets At Shoal Creek / Barrytowne
I was driving down Shoal Creek Parkway coming from the south and I came across a large entrance and paved roads on the right side of Shoal Creek Prkwy going to the North. The road passes along the side of Liberty Oaks Elementary too. I believe it stretches all the way through to where Circuit City i...

haha, well for starters it was very sloppy and the place wasn't even busy. The burger tasted very bland, didn't have any flavor, also very dry. The meat was hard to bite into too. I was really excited for this place too, but it was deff a letdown. The people I went there with said the same and seeme...

Re: OFFICIAL: Zona Rosa (tenants & phase II)
I've heard that too. I think it's pretty safe to say it's coming. Every other shopping center in KC has it, lets build another one! None of these stores are exclusive anymore. Forever 21 had one location in Zona 4 years ago and now they have one in the Legends and OP. I did hear about a lot of tenan...

Re: Northland Foreclosures
Yeah, but in Staley, when a sign says reserved it means the lot is reserved by a home buyer not the builder because they have signs also that say Model with the builders name below it At least that's how it was for us when we built ours. They put a reserved sign on our lot and once our house was fin...

Re: Northland Foreclosures
I think there's a lot of people buying houses in other areas too. A new addition by me with homes in the 700's is going up and you just look down the streets and all you see is reserved reserved reserved. The Northland still is experiencing the most growth in the metro, and rapidly fast, but it's ju...
