Re: Downtown Mission/ The Gateway

I noticed there is a new sign up in the store front designated for condo sales for this project.  At least I think its new?

Just looking for any sign of promise the project might get off the ground this year but not very confident.

it fine, lets just drop it.

Maybe the idea is to get a box of candies and feed the aquarium fish cherry filled chocolates down the street.

Re: Fairway BP Station

I knew I'd catch some for being so flippant, but if we were discussing a gas station in Gladstone there wouldn't be any reaction at all and people would be making fun of mgsports for posting it. Because it's in a white, affluent, country club neighborhood suddenly it matters and all the suburbadroi...

Re: Fairway BP Station

My thoughts exactly. If Russel Stover announced that it was going to the P&L district everybody would be singing a different tune. It was a gas station, come on. I think its worth talking about.  This was a missed opportunity for prime location along SMP.  Outside of valentines day when does an...

Re: Fairway BP Station

I live a block a way from this location.  I think its going to be a latteland b/c I know they wanted to move into the now new bank across the street about a year ago.  It's a perfect location for a coffee house with KUMed accross Belinder.  Einstein's gets a ton of buisness and can afford to lose a ...

what did you use to clean the tile.  I've almost got the same tile in front of my fire place and it could use a good cleaning.

Re: Downtown Mission/ The Gateway

I have zero hope that this development will look any different a year from now.  They should just dig a hole in the middle of the weed oasis, fill it with water and put an alligator in it.  Now that would be a draw...

Re: P&L district attitude rant

Let's not forget that since the opening of the P&L the economy has been in a downward spiral.  I think Cordish has done an incredible job given the circumstances. In 5 years, you will find that some of the trendy (Angel's Rock Bar) places will be replaced with better concepts.  What we have now ...

Re: Restaruants reopening

When do we ever get "Real Mexican Food"?  I always thought we just got Tex-Mex or Cal-Mex here in these parts. Tex-Mex in Kansas City?  Name one place that is Tex-Mex.  On The Border is the closest thing KC has to Tex-Mex. My family lives in Austin.  When we go down we gorge ourselves on ...

Re: KC Star Article on Sprint Center

We are ranked high becasue we don't have a sports team taking up calander dates.

All in all this is good news.  If only they would have made the toilets automatic flushing we probabaly could have been 25th in the world.

And of course my kegerator comes in handy from time to time...

Sulivans Steakhouse is one of the best out there (great jazz atmosphere).  Way better than most steakhouses in KC.

Re: Downtown Aquarium

The aquarium will work in mission but would have been better dt.  Keep in mind the aquarium is only one aspect of Mission's master plan.  60,000-80,000 students a year will visit it annually.  And rumor has it; Nemo will be the star attraction.
