Johnny Jo's is tops for pizza.

While I love Caddyshack overall, pizza sauce is a bit sweet.

Re: 2019 Mayor/Council Elections

Lucas responded publicly on twitter stating he has no intention of getting rid of Troy if he won the election. Doesn't mean that Troy is interested in staying. I guess we'll see.

Re: Next Mayor 2019

Seems more a class action type of situation doesn't it? I have no idea but no way one person is going to figure this out with one lawyer unless they just really hate texts. Yeah, probably. But the penalty/damages are fairly significant and worth your time. Quick google searches will find a lawyer w...

Re: Next Mayor 2019

Receiving unsolicited, mass political text messages is actually illegal. If you didn't sign up to receive texts from that source, you should probably contact a lawyer and see if you can identify who sent it and how.

Re: Kansas, Missouri battle over companies

I don't understand how a municipal government gives the federal government a tax break. It doesn't make sense. And if the city/state are spending their own money to build things out, that is even dumber and less coherent.

Most of your property taxes goes to the school district.

Re: Property Tax Assessments 2019

You do have to wonder how this will be spent. Will city officials reinvest to continue the rebuild? Will they pay down debt? Expand infrastructure/transportation? If the city saw a 10-20% increase in revenue, where would it go? Ask Seattle Most of your property taxes goes to the school district.

Re: Property Tax Assessments 2019

This is a good article by Hendricks. In assessment shock? Don’t panic just yet. Take action to avoid that big tax hit Overall , residential real estate property values were up an average 18 percent from two years ago; 16 percent for single-family houses, assessment director Gail McCann Beatty said. ...

Re: Troost developments

Yeah, there is no doubt property assessments are going up, but if you completely rehab a house then you'd expect a 200%+ increase in the value. Or if a house gets built new on your block its going to increase the value of your own house. When a house is only given a market valued of $20,000, any inc...

Re: Troost developments

Same is true on the 4400 block of Forest. Most houses are listed in the 30-40k Market valuation, but one house is listed at over $111k, jumping from at $20k valuation in 2017....again, probably a mistake given no one else on the street jumped.

Re: Troost developments

The new valuations are loaded on the Jackson Co. parcel viewer. It seems like some must be mistakes. On the 4500 block of Forest most houses have a listed market value of under $40k, with none over $80k, but there is one house on the block that is listed at $180k....jumping up from a 2017 valuation ...
