Re: West Plaza

Houses along Westport road next to Mike's Liquor also were knocked down this week. They were formerly businesses, but had been closed.

Re: West Plaza

I think its great for the neighborhood and like jasty, think most of the houses torn down were not well kept. Most of the new builds look great either for their contrast to the old bungalows or how they compliment them. There are exceptions. I would say the last round of development when crappy dupl...

Re: On-going downtown development projects

Is it really a trap though? It just says that no new caps on incentives can be effective until surrounding counties/municipalities adopt similar caps.

And I think Nicholas owns the building at 10th and Oak, which has lingered in an incomplete state for at least a decade. I just don't get it.
I hear drills whirrring when I walk past there sometimes. Honestly I think its a chop shop or something.

Because I only said it for north of the river?
You showed results from the Northland and then said
So in Clay at least, she's arguably more popular inside the 4th than outside it.
How do you know how popular she was inside the 4th? I guess I'm not following.

Re: Next Mayor 2019

On a side note. Does anyone have precinct level data on how the 4th district at-large voting came out? Or at least the Inside 4th district voting versus outside 4th-district? If it were true that Shields is only being elected b/c of those outside her district are voting for her, it would be a great...

I think it will be portrayed that way for clicks for the duration of the campaign, but ultimately Jolie will win by a comfortable margin.

That brings up a good question, which gets built first- the airport or Mission Gateway?

Huh. The KCEB still has the total around 40K votes in all. 54K would be 25% of registered KCMO voters - which (sadly) seems pretty good for a municipal primary.
KCUR probably misspoke then.

Bunch and Jolley within 4 votes in the 4th district (21 of 28 precincts reporting).
If it ends this close are there run-offs? Recounts?
I gotta think most of the people who voted for Campbell would switch to Bunch going forward?

Re: Misc Crossroads News

I see more and more runners on Main Street all the time. It’s great to see renewed activity in the city, but it’s kind of awkward when trying to walk with someone else on the sidewalk and a crew of joggers comes barreling towards you. Has anyone thought about turning the alley between Main and Balt...

Re: Next Mayor 2019

It's strange that Kansas City is inarguably in the best shape it's been in decades and people are like "eff these bums at City Hall". The Star editorial seemed to penalize anyone who had a meaningful role at City Hall in the last 4 years. I thought that was odd as well. They need clicks and so want...
