Re: 1800 Walnut

If my calculations are correct, absolutely nothing of importance will be obscured by this building when viewed from liberty memorial.

I'm sure that's a relief to everyone

Re: "Flashcube" Building - 720 Main

I've been told the restoration will require the replacement of all windows....so virtually the entire exterior of the building. Of course, they can't take the opportunity to replace it with a cladding that might be more suitable for apartments, because then they wouldn't get historic tax credits. Fo...

Re: Phase 2 streetcar to UMKC

I'm out of the loop with the streetcar stuff...how many more votes until they get the okay to start construction? Or was this the last vote?

I'm glad they're planning to save the train station. It's going to be an expensive project

Thanks James. Haha it’s all good. Was just trying to see what you showed me would look like if built.

Re: Would you like to see the Royals move to a downtown stadium?

But seriously though, good job on the renderings. It’s clear you put a lot of time into it. I’m not a fan of the idea itself though. The idea of a stadium at the bottom of liberty memorial’s hill really seems to be in bad taste. The WWI museum is one of only like 4 things in this city that I’d consi...

Re: OFFICIAL - East9 (former Pickwick Plaza)

It's a pretty isolated spot. Not exactly surprised retail isn't taking off there. Hopefully development keeps pushing east around it

Re: Capping the Loop

Was told first step was swapping 670 and 70 signs as it is easier to rid a 3 numbered interstate than 2. then buried parking for north loop (ballpark) stop, then ballpark (amazon or other field) then parks and bldgs above. remember the city will get this land back so payback is property taxes and s...

Re: 13th and Grand tower

Seems odd they'd scrap that design so soon after putting out that rendering video. Thus is the design process, I suppose

Re: Capping the Loop

Since we're on the topic, will they be demolishing and replacing the older eastbound part of the L&C viaduct? The part with the bike trail. I've never heard any discussion of it
