This is something I can stand behind, or lean... But really, it was quite nice at the All-Star Game in St. Louis last year to be able to walk around the stuff outside the stadium and drink a beer.

Re: The Ku property, 1219-21 Grand
I hate to see historic buildings dissapear. But, let's be honest, this building wasn't exactly on the historic registry. It was old, I guess. In any event, if the lot is developed into something more than a surface lot, I won't be as dissapointed with this building's destruction. I understand...

As a guy who was just accepted to UMKC's Urban Planning program, why did you want to take geology instead of urban planning? Just curious.

I bought a 2nd gen iphone for $225. I didn't (and haven't yet) need the 3G capabilities.

Re: iPhone/AT&T question?
I haven't read all of the posts, but I have an iphone and yet have never used the ATT network. I unlocked and jailbroke my phone (really is an easy process) and use tmobile. I've never had a problem with tmobile's service (knock on wood). One note, I don't use their data plan but the iphone gets wif...

That's my thought too, and I play at the bars in Westport fairly frequently.Jess wrote: I've seriously yet to find myself in the company of thugs anytime I've been out in Westport of a weekend. Apparently others go different places than I do.

The bridge is the ASB (Armour Swift Burlington). It's still used by the railroads, it used to have an upper deck that cars would use, but it was replaced by the Heart of America Bridge.

Re: Taking in a Royals Game (for the visiting baseball fan)
I'll be there at 4:30 this afternoon drinking and grilling! Can't wait, I'm one of those people that just likes baseball for the Americana of it, and I go to have a good time and tailgate. Oh I enjoy it too, I just tend to like other cities because I can hit up a bar before and after the game. (G...

I find a Royals game is more like a football game. People tend to tailgate and drink a lot of beer before going into the game.

Re: Quality Hill
That's the same deal I had. It was easily my favorite rental ever. The location is second to none. It's uphill from everything, hehe. The buildings(the newer ones) are pretty cheaply built, so they kind of fall apart. The maintenance crew can be a little sluggish getting around to your maintenance ...

Re: Shocking revelation regarding "fresh" produce in the RiverMarket!
I thought this was obvious? I'm very picky about my produce (I worked in a Hen House produce section for 4 years) but I shop at the River market for my produce almost exclusively now. Once we figured out how much cheaper it was to buy it there. When my fiancee (I can only say that for about 24 hou...
