Thanks to the posters and moderators

I wanted to have an official post to thank the posters and moderators of kcrag. Many of you have been instrumental to the success and renaissance of Kansas City. Seeing Kansas City change and regain population has been amazing. Downtown feels like an entirely new city, many places are bustling that ...

Re: OFFICIAL - Hampton Inn (16th & Main)

I know it’s not going to be that color, but I wish Kansas City had some more colorful buildings. I think it breaks up the monotony of cities well I've been planning on starting a new thread about this very topic, and have been collecting examples. I can send you some, I travel quite a bit and have ...

Re: OFFICIAL - Hampton Inn (16th & Main)

Oh definitely I agree that Kansas City’s skyline is quite picturesque for its size for in my opinion due to the amount of variation. I know that globally you basically get glass or stucco looking buildings now adays. I guess I would just rather see some color on the buildings if they aren’t going to...

Re: Hong Kong

Too lazy to figure out how to post pictures, so I’ll explain what I’ve noticed in the last 4 months. The biggest thing I’ve noticed is how a lot of the older buildings pertrude out after the first floor which draws pedestrians eyes down instead of up. Which makes it in my opinion a more pleasant and...

Re: Politics

Currently working in China teaching children English, I can’t even comprehend the callousness of some towards foreign children. It’s getting to the point where I’m questioning if I ever want to go back to the us. I want to fight it but I’m not sure how anymore

Hong Kong

Hi all I recently moved from midtown to Hong Kong. I was wondering if you all would mind if I shared some of what I've noticed here in regards to urban development. I'm not sure how to post pictures to this forum. I know Hong Kong is obviously different but I've noticed a few things that I think cou...

What happens with the Plaza Extension if there is not federal money? Scale Back design? Single Track sections?
TBD, but I can assure you we won't single track it. That would be a ridiculous waste of money. Pray for blue in the midterms!

Or better vote blue in the midterms

Re: Martini Corner near 31st/Gilham

Full Disclosure: I do work at Cafe Europa, however I am leaving in a week so I feel I can be open. It was struggling a bit last year, however within the last three months business has been doing really well. THey also do a lot of catering and private parties which helps. I wouldn't worry about it cl...

Re: Three Light

While I am a huge fan of affordable housing, I agree that the city already negotiated this aspect. I would love to see them negotiate the midland as affordable, but I'm not sure trying to negotiate the light buildings will do anything but piss cordish off. If another developer comes in then we can n...

Is there anything they can do to designate eighteenth and fine as a district so that it doesn't have to be tied to population?
