Re: Next Mayor 2019

I do think it’s tellinng on how falsely the conversation was based. She ignores neighborhoods. What are you talking about, a lot of her council district was downtown. What’s telling to me is that the Jolie people don’t even take unfair shots at Lucas they just don’t like him, whereas you and the oth...

Hopefully they don’t tear down anything without a development plan that will go through and is an improvement to the area.

Re: "RideKC Next" transit system redesign

Yeah so I walk about 20 km a day because I live in a walking city. Just because you can walk a distance doesn’t make it walkable or enjoyable. Congratulations you just alienated almost any young tourist from the coasts, guess what we aren’t New York we are going to have to make it easier for people ...

Re: "RideKC Next" transit system redesign

It says 3.1km from the nearest attraction, that will take someone about 32 minutes if they are walking fast, that is not accessible to many things outside of buses. And speaking from someone who travels a lot, I will always avoid buses if I can help it because they aren’t fixed, and you can easily e...

Re: Next Mayor 2019

Just because you feel like something should be done, doesn’t mean it should or it wouldn’t be detrimental. Within Kansas City it may feel like a lot is happening but nationally it’s not. Kansas City is great because of its culture and ingenuity, but it isn’t blowing up compared to outside the Midwes...

Re: Next Mayor 2019

I'm not following this race very closely, it seems to me that we have two good options and I don't really care that much, but just so I'm clear on the current rag dynamic: is the poster people were lambasting as a racist elsewhere basically the only person rooting for the black guy to win? Or have ...

New concept from the owner of Hammer Hand coffee in Liberty. Looks like the shop will be opening in late summer in Pendleton Heights. The Instagram name is phcoffeekc, looks like a cool build out

Re: "RideKC Next" transit system redesign

Just curious, I don’t live in KC anymore so I don’t really feel like I should input to much. What’s the likelihood though of convincing the hotels downtown to pay for a free circulator bus that only stops at the airport and downtown. I’ve travelled all over for fun, and I can tell you that ease of g...

My bet is the next arts district will be west bottoms or the northeast. I could see it changing in the next five years, although probably more likely in the next ten.

With the rise of autonomous cars it might be easier to redirect traffic away

Re: Phase 2 streetcar to UMKC

What would need to happen in order to shut down main to cars and only allow cross traffic every few blocks. I know it’s unlikely, but what steps would need to be taken

Re: Uptown Theatre district improvements

I’d imagine if the can hang on until the uptown district apartments they’d do better, but with the price point I think they might have more luck with the crossroads. I’ve spoken to a lot of people about it recently who live downtown and didn’t know it was there

I think they are making a good choice there. It will be good for traffic to add more parking in there.
Just out of curiousity what part of town do you live in, and how often do you visit that part of westport.

How did they figure out that we are not a coalition of a bunch of different positions, but a alien species from outer space?

Thanks to the posters and moderators
