Re: OFFICIAL - Loews Convention Hotel (formerly Hyatt)

Today, St. Louis gained a Loews Hotel. It will be a Live! one. In regards to this one in Kansas City, this won't be a Live! By Loews but rather a simple "Loews" brand.

Re: Two Light - 14th & Grand

Hey StrangerThings, Any word on if Cordish is looking into possibly doing office space in downtown. I know that they have announced a tower in St. Louis ala BPVII Sorry to butt in but yes, they announced an office building last October. They didn't announce it officially but the BizJournal reported...

Re: Does the Plaza need a drastic change or on the right path?

Crazy idea, but I think Country Club Plaza could lose some streets going through it. Preferably Nichols Road, Pennsylvania and Central (47th has to stay, it is common sense the same with Broadway) Make it more Pedestrian Friendly. This way, you can have a safer atmosphere with more "small shops...

Re: OFFICIAL - Loews Convention Hotel (formerly Hyatt)

800 hotel rooms will add hundreds of people to the surrounding area. The 16th St streetcar stop will be busy day and night. Families will walk up and down Baltimore and Wyandotte and 16th St, reaching places that don't exist today. The southern three quarters of the perimeter of the hotel are going...

Re: OFFICIAL - Loews Convention Hotel (formerly Hyatt)

Loews will be a great addition to Kansas City. Sadly, they have to keep the same design.

Re: OFFICIAL - Hyatt Regency Convention Hotel

Are they going to blow up the rocks on the site or incorporate them into the design?

Re: Cordish projects in other cities

For Phase 2, the Office Space has some interest among local businesses and companies, but nothing committed. However, I think the Office Portion of this phase will sit empty. Why? Because the massive 45 Floor AT&T Tower is going to be abandoned by time Groundbreaking comes along in August or Sep...

Re: Cordish projects in other cities

just to clarify, the office space in ballpark village phase two is a seperate project from this cupples area office bldg proposal which is also claiming to potentially be the first new office bldg since 1989. it's not cordish: https://nextstl.com/wp-content/uploads/Cupples-X_Koman-Group.jpg nextstl...

Currently, Downtown Clayton is whooping Downtown St. Louis as far as New Construction is concerned. Here are the latest proposals. No way. Casinos absolutely suck. Have you been to a downtown area that has casinos? Detroit, St Louis, New Orleans, Baltimore? Where the casinos are happen to be the most depressing areas of the downtowns. They do nothing for the vibrancy of the city, actually they hurt it. In response to the St. L...

Re: Five Light

If streetcar runs to Isle of Capri, I'd be willing to bet that the Isle gets fully redeveloped with a hotel. they're the only KC casino without one! Hollywood Casino doesn't have a hotel element either, although part of the deal is they are supposed to add one. How does St Louis have a casino in th...

Re: Five Light

What was the 2nd H&R Building supposed to look like? If anyone has seen it, that could be how the 5 Light Building will look.
