This seems to be a trend for Copaken. Arterra underwent a similar cheapening at the very last minute as well.
Hopefully Strata doesn't get revised since Copaken has their hand in it.

Re: 1800 Walnut

It appears that the orange/copper façade was kicked out for silver. Some balconies were also eliminated. AND the right side of the building lost it's wavy effect. Hopefully the stepping side is a stunner since this project's "wow" factor greatly diminished in my mind. At least they are making sure w...

So this is what's going to be built here? I liked the original design better but this is ok. Hope it happens :)

two lots down, two to go.
Even though I don't live in KC, I was told that a residential proposal came and went for the parking lot across 16th from this. Not sure why it went away. It may have been mentioned on here but I was told in more detail by someone familiar with it.

Why do they name all them buildings Light? It is getting real old. Why not mix it up, like Sky, or Earth.
I finally agree with you on something here. I guess Cordish is just lazy but this specific tower will be called "Strata" which Is a welcome change from "Light".

This handy little poster gives you a cool VR experience if you download an app. I took screenshots of what it shows you (One Cardinal Way). It also has this new rendering. I personally like they way it looks from this angle. https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4872/32649137838_6419873715_o.png https://fa...

Sure hope they can unfill that! They most likely can. As similar thing was done here in St. Louis in the 1920s when the atrium was filled in at 705 Olive. Now, the building has reopened as a hotel and the Atrium has returned. Before (dingy and dark) https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5533/12059392155_f...

Imagine this view when Loews, Three Light, Strata, Platform Ventures Barney Allis Plaza Office Tower, Hotel Bravo and 1800 Walnut are all finished. I know it's off topic but still, will be a great site to see!

Re: Five Light

Here is the cutout for the front entrance on Main Street. I assume they will also have an entrance on Baltimore. https://tinyurl.com/y7vqe2qh The rendering shows this entrance open, at least that's what it makes it out to be. It would be obvious for an entrance on Main but an Entrance on Baltimore?...

Re: Five Light

The reception from people in St. Louis about this is more positive than not. They wish it could be here (that's what was said on my Twitter). Only one hated it. I know St. Louis has nothing to do with this but it's fun to see what people say. An UrbanSTL user by the name of "SymphonicPoet" says that...

Re: Five Light

If they ever build four light, it won't matter anyway, It will be behind the wall. But Main street will become quite the urban canyon in the loop. A few things... - 4 Light won't happen for some time. - If 4 Light does happen, I would hope that they put the tower part on the lot portion so it block...

Re: Strata Tower

This is a very crappy attempt at adding into the skyline. It's hard to do with the rendering so I guesstimated the height with 1201 Walnut and H&R Center. My guess is 350FT but I may be off.

Re: Muehlebach Hotel / KC Club Project

It does look like the office portion is being expanded. The original info called for 70,000 sq ft and they are now saying 100,000. I wonder if the building would still have a similar design and how many stories it might be now. So, I wonder if the office building's chances of being built with this ...

I think this will look great. Reminds me of something you would see in New York City in terms of design. How tall will this be? I'm thinking around 350FT but I could be wrong.
