Re: Three Light

Personally, I'm excited about how things are going and am really looking forward to a new office tower and the capping of I-670. I hope I'm still downtown to see all that come together. walnut will not be vacated. period. thanks! The streetcar will create some interesting challenges if they decide ...

Re: Three Light

I'm not sure when the rights got extended, they snuck that in. I don't think H&R needs much space and I'm not apart of the negations happening. I assume H&R Block sought those development rights for the second tower back when they were expanding into banking, investments, and financial serv...

Look for Three Light next week or so. Second tower is some time down the road.

I'm not sure when the rights got extended, they snuck that in. I don't think H&R needs much space and I'm not apart of the negations happening. I'm guessing H&R wants some form of involvement in either naming, design or all of the above for PR reasons. I'm guessing Cordish would like to begi...

Re: Three Light

Wait, why is H&R even involved? Did they have another option on this? Surely they don't need more room? What an I missing? Their "air rights" were extended to 2020. Cordish and H&R are in early stages of discussion on how to proceed. The easy answer is yes, they need some more roo...

Re: Three Light

Would the office tower be mixed use? Is there a timeline? Ground floor would possibly have some retail, but it wasn't originally designed to have much. The lobby and elevator shaft are already there for the most part. No serious timeline as the conversations have only recently started up with H&...

Re: Three Light

I wasn't really referencing the building materials, more so some nice structural designs that were originally part of the exterior plan. One side was to cascade out in a fairly dramatic fashion for example. I do understand the desire to use different building materials, like slightly different color...

Re: Three Light

^ I don't disagree with you. I think One Light will continue to service those who don't want to spend the money on a place at Two Light, or those who really want to be that close to the store, gym etc. One block doesn't sound like much, but when you become so used to that convenience, going outside ...

Re: Three Light

One Light was a bit of a risk. Sure, a new high rise residential unit hasn’t been built downtown for 40 years but “would they come” and “how much will they pay” was hard to nail down. The budget corresponded to those unknowns. Two Light will be much improved now that there’s some proof of concept. I...

Re: Three Light

I live in One Light and I’m not a huge fan of the concrete ceilings. I don’t mind the exposed duct work as it avoids the need for awkward soffits but personal taste will vary. The floors, like most all luxury apartments at this price point are engineered hardwood. You don’t build high rise apartment...

Re: Three Light

^ ST, I think you can probably figure out which Cordish property I’m referring to. There are only two. You ‘guessed’ wrong. One Light only Has exposed duct work in the bedrooms. No exposed concrete floors and there’s always going to be a market for an affordable loft style studio. Two Light is even...

I'm not sure which Cordish property you're referencing with the "cheap loft, concrete floors, exposed duct work" line either????

Re: Three Light

Trying to explain profits and costs while then mentioning getting extra revenue from the garages. How about reinvesting some of that extra funds into a few design changes on 3? Believe me, I understand business, but I think putting out multiple products that are fairly blah will hurt your brand in ...

Re: Three Light

To touch on the subject of the garages. It's interesting to see the city manager mention the fact that Cordish has taken over management and responsibility of certain garages. Yes, it saves the city money but they were also doing a terrible job. Since taking over the garages, not only have they unde...

Re: Three Light

The more I look at Two Light the uglier it becomes. From a distance it just doesn't fit in the skyline. The white lines separating the floors are as ugly as anything I've ever seen on a tall building. If only it was twice as tall and less "blocky." So you're saying you're not a fan! :D I ...

Re: Three Light

ah, the cordish development agreement. the gift that keeps on giving. thanks, wayne! You can’t blame Cordish for being good negotiators! The city missed the mark with the projected tax revenue but an argument can be made that it’s still all worth it when you take into consideration all the developm...

Not sure when they'll put out another updated rendering. Two Light is a bit ahead of schedule at the moment but the plan is still to start on Three once Two Light hits a certain leasing percentage. The way signups are going, that should happen fairly soon.

Re: KU-MU rivalry reborn?

Is there any chance cordish could partner with someone and show the game outside now that the game is completely sold out? Agree to donate a percentage of proceedings to hurricane relief? This is old, but wanted to point out that Cordish did make a deal and donated 20k in order to show the game. It...
