The unchecked violence of Kansas City plus the nonsense of the city's leadership as evidenced by the passage of this ordinance is the primary reason why I left KC and Missouri.

To say the midtown HD has relatively low sales is laughable. The incentivized staff love working that location because it is easy to meet their targets.

Indeed. Moe's is sorely missed. It had the closest to the real deal Chicago-style Italian beef sandwich in KC. Tower Tavern's version is ok.

Replacement trees were planted along the mall this spring. They have next to no root structure, and, as a result, blow out of the ground on windy days. They have been staked and still blow over. I suspect (and this is true all over the city) that a lot of people don't actually want anything to change. They're fine with the used car lots and abandoned buildings. A new event space or an apartment building only have a negative potential because adjacent neighbors don't directly gain anything ...

First Lutfi's on Main stopped serving breakfast and now Cafe Attitude is closing. That leaves me only Kitty's Cafe. As good as Kitty's breakfast sandwiches are, one a week is my max.
