Re: Is KC Tenants destroying the development future of downtown KCMO?

The unchecked violence of Kansas City plus the nonsense of the city's leadership as evidenced by the passage of this ordinance is the primary reason why I left KC and Missouri.

Re: Is Midtown Marketplace one of the city's greatest blunders?

To say the midtown HD has relatively low sales is laughable. The incentivized staff love working that location because it is easy to meet their targets.

Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)

The solution to mayhem is to rename the streets - it's what all responsible leaders are doing.

Sorry to see it go. Food was delicious, but I always had it delivered precisely because I didn't want to deal with lack of parking.

Re: Troost developments

If that junk store goes out of business, how will I know where to buy back my lawnmower? Well the junk store is probably out of business after the fire Monday night/Tuesday morning. All three buildings on the west side of that block were damaged. https://www.kshb.com/news/crime/blaze-destroys...

Indeed. Moe's is sorely missed. It had the closest to the real deal Chicago-style Italian beef sandwich in KC. Tower Tavern's version is ok.

Re: Liberty Memorial Musuem and Penn Valley Park

Replacement trees were planted along the mall this spring. They have next to no root structure, and, as a result, blow out of the ground on windy days. They have been staked and still blow over. A good number are already dead. I don't understand why the Memorial is not better maintained. Is money th...

Re: Troost developments

I suspect (and this is true all over the city) that a lot of people don't actually want anything to change. They're fine with the used car lots and abandoned buildings. I'm excited about this renovation and what it may spark for that corner of the neighborhood. However, I wonder what type of renter would like to look out their beautiful big window to this: https://goo.gl/foyKm9.
