Re: Downtown Tanners closing?

I went last weekend and there was a rough crowd in the arcade late and on the 3rd floor in the 10 Spot night club, so hearing of the shooting on Saturday wasn't at all surprising. I live half a block down on Broadway and I can't count on my hands how many times I almost had to call the police after...

Re: To go up against Topgolf

I wonder if this will have an effect on the planned driving range at One North development? They've really gotten behind on building more, so I guess it's perfect to capitalize on that but I feel like this one won't be as popular.

You can now see where the stage was (with the curtains still hanging). They also thankfully added a mister today since it was insanely dusty yesterday.

Re: KC Bike share

They are live in time for First Friday! I truly had a great ride! Only gripe is how the seat adjustment doesn't hold very well so I had to pull over way too many times to raise and tighten the seat. Your first ride is free and if you top off with $25, you also get 2 additional rides for free (my 45 ...

Re: Downtown Tanners closing?

Are the arcade and Hush under-performing as much as Broadway Bistro was? The complex can definitely work if all the independent pieces are profitable. To be honest, i'm surprised the bistro piece lasted as long as it did. Even after the "rebrand" into more of a sports bar concept. The only time the...

No word on new tenant for Plaza space. I feel like it's a terrible move. I'm still confused with the Garment...

There's already a parking garage entrance.

I would love it if they would use this for the entrance but I have a feeling they won't.

Re: Bird Scooters Have Landed

Is part of the reason they shut down because of the end of the pilot and needing to reapply for whatever this next phase is KCMO keep advertising? No. Ridership tanked when the temps really dropped. They also entirely lost out on any revenue for two days on/after the blizzard since they did what wa...

What utilities are included with DT rentals. I assume that heating is included? water and trash? Also, it seems a lot of people complain about the price but most buildings include ammenities that remove costs you might normally have: pools, gym spaces, entertainment areas, etc. You have to give som...

Re: OFFICIAL - The Grand (former Traders on Grand)

went here for downtown dazzle this weekend. i like the way they got some natural light down into the lower level club lounge area. the views on the pool deck are good but i do question the value of putting such a small 4' pool up there, especially in a spot that looks like the pool itself is shaded...

Re: Are downtown apartment occupancy rapidly trending down?

I participated in the Downtown Dazzle tours today. While at Two Light the company rep was still stating that Three Light/The Midland Apt's are still on track for a groundbreaking in early 2019. No specifics given or anything. Thoughts on the tours: Two Light is immensely better/nicer than One Light....

Re: Are downtown apartment occupancy rapidly trending down?

All depends on the price point. My somewhat-reasonably priced building on Broadway (not a QH property) has been completely leased out since I moved in two years ago.

Did it go downhill? Last time I was there it was fine. 'So last 3 years ago' or sign of Xroads getting more supply (of eats/drinks) than demand? Have been wondering if a breaking point has hit. It hasn't hit the breaking point. This place was an expensive option that didn't have a clear direction i...
