Oh this troll again. Stop crying you spoiled turd. Your comment is the epitome of what a troll is and does. You just can't keep your anti-religious hatred and close-mindedness to yourself. Anyone with half-a-brain can read these comments taking cheap shots at people of faith and religion and...

Re: Church of the Resurrection Downtown Campus
I have a feeling that in 20 years that building gets demolished for an office tower. They own the land and don't pay taxes on it. What's their incentive to sell? Money. Same as everyone. If it's not bringing in enough money to cover their expenses (insurance, maintenance and so on) then they will s...

I think the new Children's Mercy Tower deserves it's own thread. This is a real game-changer and will will instantly make KC the premier standout in pediatric research. Two families; Hall and Sunderland gave $75mil each($150mil total) to make this happen. To date, it is the largest collective gift e...

Re: Kc skyscraper drought about to max depression era droughttt.
The corporations that call KC "home" like Sprint and Cerner (and many others) could care less about this city. They would slit their mom's throat for 2 cents saved on tax incentives and parking. The state line and Kans ass has only perpetuated the stereotypes and hatred for downtown KCMO. ...

Re: Three Light
I'm all for giving shit to cordish for some of their decisions and cost cuttings, but wtf? We can't just overbuild KC and pretend it's going to fill in around it. I know I have a one year freeze on my apartment's rent and others are offering incentives to move it. No body is giving Cordish sh** or ...

Re: Three Light
I was excited to think that 3 Light would begin construction as soon as 2 Light was completed (as when first announced). I should have known that would be too ambitious for KC  As it all depends on how fast 2 fills up, now I think it could be up to a year or more before they break ground. I un...

40,000 is the number everyone agrees is a sustainable population. We are at 30,000. Like I’ve continued to say, we are not there yet. Don’t you think Three Light would be a great location for a ground floor national retailer? True. And this is interesting. Spark launched its initial venue in Baltim...

Re: New Broadway Bridge
I reread his originally post and he said he thinks we should build a new bridge, but it should be 8 lanes wide as should the rest of the highway. [-X Great Idea No, all of the lanes don't end at Broadway - you're misunderstanding. The new bridge would connect to I-35S and 70W at Quality Hill...

I think they should make an "edgy," "hip" and "really cool" statement and make the sign a 3, like Namaste or ohm. That would really mix it up - confuse people while being condescending at the same time. I like it. https://uniim1.shutterfly.com/ng/services/mediarender/TH...

Re: Northeast Industrial District Housing
This area is referred to as the "East Bottoms" by locals. And some of the comments are not informative - the area has undergone MANY changes over the years. When I was attending Northeast High in the late 70's the area was made up of working poor but there were far more residents and livab...

You need to flip that 90 degrees and put it on top of the garage just south of 23rd st this is a 2008 aerial (bottom center in the image). The parking garage it’s going on and the building next to it with the hospital name hadn’t been built yet in this view. the new tower will be oriented east-west...

Re: Three Light
The more I look at Two Light the uglier it becomes. From a distance it just doesn't fit in the skyline. The white lines separating the floors are as ugly as anything I've ever seen on a tall building. If only it was twice as tall and less "blocky." So you're saying you're not a fan! :D Up...

Pretty significant structure, should be around 140 ft tall?Designed by BSA LifeStructures, the nine-story tower will be constructed above an existing eight-level parking garage with four above-grade floors. It is located near the southeast corner of 23rd Street and Gillham Road in Kansas City.
