Re: River Market Realignment, Buck O'Neil Bridge

Going to need some major rock cutting into the bluff to fit another lane or two for a ramp from northbound 35 directly to new bridge. Existing ramp to 6th is already tight. Will this eat up some of new dog park and remains of West Terrace Park? Not to mention homeless encampments. Yeah I hate that....

Looks really nice, especially the exterior. The interiors are a little intense. So much going on!

They had a couple of things I hadn't seen and they had some write-ups about each project. Mostly stuff I'm familiar with though.

I didn't take any pictures and I can't really remember what was new to me...so that's all I got

Re: Misc Crossroads News

This is maybe an unpopular opinion but even as an experienced FF goer I find it very hard to find out what galleries are doing what.. I get my showing info from each gallery's Instagram or Facebook page. That seems like the easiest and most-updated way to find out about shows and seeing what is com...

Wasn't the original restaurant only in the 'bar space' too? Or did it flow into that over space (now the gallery)??

An office building at NE corner of 47th/Main is going residential, luxury senior living. Would like to see some of the office spaces above Plaza retail also go residential. https://www.bizjournals.com/kansascity/news/2017/12/12/more-details-on-northpoints-planned-luxury-senior.html Before: https://...

'Tripple Crown' is being dismantled today. Anyone know where it is going? What is going in its place?

The old bank facade would at least make a nice entry to the building. Man this thing is ugly.

:x :x :x Some assholes defaced the Dedication Wall at the memorial last night. Red spray paint on the bronze busts and across the limestone wall.

Re: Troost developments

That argument makes sense but I'm not sure how much weight it carries for an upper middle-to-middle class resident who may be able to comfortably adjust their monthly budget if taxes went up. And the potential gains in amenities within walking distance of their home isn't compelling because they've...

Re: KCMO Downtown Streetcar

A non movable planter is called a permanent planter. Oh! thank you for that! Gee I never would have know that without your excellent input! I don't think it should just be a big planter, permanent or not. It should look like an extension of the sidewalk. Remove the un-used street. This rende...

Re: KCMO Downtown Streetcar

I'm thinking of something that is permanent, not a movable planter or bollard. I literally want to see landscaped medians and sidewalk bumpouts that mimic the current flex bollard layout. Yeah, they would be a little odd shaped, but that wouldn't bother me.
