Re: KC Mentioned by Steven Colbert Twice 6/6/07

Missouri was mentioned last night by the Daily Show: (in reference to Mormons believing the Garden of Eden is near Kansas City) "Have you seen Missouri? Its the ingrown hair on the taint of America." Boo. Then they obviously haven't seen Missouri. (parts of it, maybe, are slightly taint-l...

Re: KC Mentioned by Steven Colbert Twice 6/6/07

Jees your testy. You think its so important for KC to be mentioned on this show, you started thread. I think its superfluous. You need to relax. Last reply. For the record, I don't happen to think it's so important. I thought it was of interest. Now that I have discovered this thread: http://forum....

Er, no. I forget that CommunityAmerica Ball Park is actually in KCK. I apologize.

Good lord Sister, go to the Plaza and see how many options you have vs. the Guys.

It's probably 2-1 women's stores, if not greater, down there.
Not talking about the Plaza, thanks. Been there plenty of times.

Hmph. I have money to spend, too, Cordish! What's going to attract the women to this area, who will, in turn, attract men? I know, blah, blah big splashy announcement-near-the-opening-cakes. I am impatient, not least because I am looking to move downtown.

Re: P+L Tenant Rumors

Actually, while I think it's lame to add a restaurant that has 3 other locations in the metro, I would like to hear about some more retail options the P&L is going to offer. That's what's sadly lacking downtown far more than another damn steakhouse. I'm a butcher's daughter, I like steak, but do...

Re: OFFICIAL: Penn Valley Park (Ideas+redeveloment)

It's also too bad that Missouri Town wasn't placed in Swope Park near the Zoo and Starlight Theatre.  Having Missouri Town near Riverfront Park would also have been a better idea. The City should also consider ceding the Liberty Memorial to the National Parks Service as a federal memorial. This wou...

Re: Looking for a loft/condo to buy.

Thanks for the information, everybody. We'll see if I can get away with offering $25k less on a property.
Can't hurt to try, eh? If I get laughed at, there's plenty more condos to look at.

Re: Looking for a loft/condo to buy.

OK, now I find myself in the position of possibly leaving my midtown duplex, and living on my own once more. If I go back to apartment living, I'd want it to be downtown. Also interested in buying, but have yet to be pre-approved. I'm also looking in the $100-140K price range, any clever ideas? I ha...

Wow, what a dumb idea. I know it wasn't yours, moderne! Connectivity would discourage rather than encourage such activity. See Central Park's Ramble for a similar situation.

SPIN in OP sells gelato, I assume this one would as well.
However, it is only passable. I agree completely, LenexatoKCMO.

 You guys, this isn't for real. Apparently she has been spotted buying Buddhist literature lately, so for the wiseasses, these stories go together like PB&J.
