Where is that? I've seen a couple of posts about it but I didn't notice anyplace with self-pouring beer.

Re: OFFICIAL - New KCI Terminal
The Delta lounge is great. Highly recommend. I never really looked at food prices around the airport but did notice a bbq platter or something for 27 bucks. If u were flying delta and didn't have a CC that gave u free lounge access u are almost better off paying the 50 bucks to sit in the lounge fo...

Re: OFFICIAL - New KCI Terminal
The bathrooms were great, however, they were somewhat confusing. Why are the mens rooms split into two totally separate sections? It seems like everybody goes into one side while the other is barely used. Signage is sort of confusing. Now I know that I can go both ways. I didn't use the all gender ...

Re: OFFICIAL - New KCI Terminal
Just finished my first round-trip out of the new airport this past weekend. Outbound (Thursday, late-morning): Dropped off by private shuttle, no delay or issue. I was slightly annoyed that curbside bag check wasn't available but I know that's an airline decision, not an airport decision. TSA was a ...

Re: Phase 2 streetcar to North Kansas City
...and I pray the recommendation is to put it on Swift instead of Burlington. Keep Burlington the car/truck sewer and let Swift be the transit/pedestrian wonderland. Swift makes way more sense in terms of where riders would actually want to go. I think the most ideal route (in terms of effectivenes...

Re: Interstate 49
To me it doesn't seem like a completed I-49 saves a significant number of miles between KC and NOLA vs I-70/I-55. (Though admittedly it's hard to plot mileage for currently-nonexistent highway segments on Google Maps.) The biggest benefit I see is being able to avoid the horrible portion that is I-7...

Re: Closed Bars and Restaurants
It was my fathers bar Closed in the late 1960s Been trying to find a picture This pic is from 1977 and I can't find addresses of any of the businesses shown, but based on where 224 W would be on a typical east-west block I would guess it's likely the bar that in 1977 is called "Peyton Place&qu...

Re: Misc Crossroads News
I'm an old-schooler who agrees with Broadway as the dividing line between Crossroads and West Side. I feel like the boundary should be a street that people actually interact with rather than a freeway up on stilts that's used to pass over both neighborhoods as quickly as possible.

Re: OFFICIAL: Power & Light District
Not long ago I witnessed a group of kids circling a block riding them on the sidewalk, riding through a sidewalk seating area and deliberate bumping into people's tables. After about the third or fourth time they did this a customer finally told them to get off the sidewalks and some of the kids jum...

Re: North Kansas City
Wow, RIP NKC Pro Bowl. That was a landmark in the Northland, sort of like King Louie West was in OP. Interesting that place would sell, must be a heck of an offer. The Bowling Alley always did decent business, and they had the banquet center that used to be the old Gold Buffet. In the heyday it had...

Re: North Kansas City
Details are extremely sketchy, but the bowling center complex in NKC has apparently been sold to a condo developer for demolition and redevelopment. No info yet as to the buyer but I would assume probably the same outfit who tried to purchase the place in January and was rebuffed. This all happened ...

I don't think that dispensary will be there that long though, because I think they will get bought out when that block gets redeveloped. https://www.google.com/maps/@39.0991581,-94.5798119,3a,75y,223.9h,90.41t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1smNhSE5BHjYNjk3uexBa3og!2e0!7i16384!8i8192?hl=en The block that's been...

Re: Downtown Buildings with Activity
I haven't been able to get a video of it yet due to my phone going for an unexpected swim in the Gulf of Mexico last week, but what I believe is a new dispensary just south of Zoo Bar (in the little standalone building where the law firm used to be) definitely makes its presence known to the south-f...

Re: 311 Changes
I was unable to get the new app to take my report. I tried various forms of naming the cross streets of the intersection, and I tried using addresses. Everything I entered was rejected. And the ability to simply click the location on the map appears to be gone.

Are the search settings tweakable?
Before I posted a new topic about 311 a few minutes ago I did a search to see if there was an existing thread I could tack my comment on to. I got the following error searching for "311". Is it possible to tweak the search settings to allow for search terms shorter than 4 characters? The f...

311 Changes
I went to the 311 web site this morning to report a traffic light issue and noticed they've replaced the whole reporting system with a new app. The old map seems to be gone, and now you can only see 311 reports that you personally reported? Am I missing something or is that really the case? If so, t...

Re: Best Local Trails
Living out south, I used to ride the loop formed by the Indian Creek and Tomahawk Creek trails, and it was fantastic. Almost all street crossings were grade separated, IIRC. Of all things, I'll never forget how good the floral blooms smelled in spring through the Corporate Woods stretch This is the...

Temporary P&L casualties include County Road Ice House, Pizza Bar, and most of the upper level of the Live! block.
