Denver Metro population is 2.9. Why did this chart use "front range" that runs like 200 miles outside of Denver Metro? If that number is used then KC could take in St. Joe and Lincoln, NE. All the other cities could inflate their populations too. Stupid!
Where did that chart come from?

Flew Long Beach LGB yesterday (Sunday 10/8) home to KC. There were 80 open seats. Not great for a Sunday afternoon.

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments
We are? I see a lot of cuts lately. The new shiny airport has a better passenger experience 100% The new shiny airport is positioned with better gates and connectivity. But was it really a new shiny airport? Coming off Covid, most airports in the USA are experiencing huge passenger numbers and growt...

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments
I'll say it again, new shiny airports do not warrant new air service or increased air destinations. Doesn't work that way. The whole "build it and new service will come" is a wonderful selling point by promoters and politicians. As for MCI being a 5 million catch all area, not sure where t...

From San Antonio - info on the Condor Flight just announced... (some good highlights of what San Antonio is getting and how they got it). The nonstop flight to Frankfurt, Germany, will launch on May 17, 2024, with its initial season running through Sept. 6, 2024. The seasonal flight would operate th...

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments
Hot take: I think Condor's striped airplanes look odd. Never even heard of them till May last year when they were launching an (apparent) inaugural flight from Boston (I was in the terminal at the time). Thought they were a newer airline. I rather have KC get a legacy name than Condor. It carries m...

Speaking of Canadian Flights,
STL just landed nonstop daily service on Air Canada beginning next year. They already serve Toronto. This is an interesting add and STL must show enough O&D to Montreal to add a daily flight.

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments
Truly incredible how every other city but us is able to get a TATL flight There are a lot of other cities that don't have TATL service. Unless our business community puts a pledge of monies together or fuels business class airfares from KC, we may not get anything substantial. As for reputable &quo...

The ShowMe institute is widely known to be an opinion “think-tank” that is hardly based in fact. They use very heavy handed and often misrepresented data to paint a VERY specific picture. See example: KC Streetcar, new terminal at MCI, Abatement & incentive discussion. I’m not saying that all y...

Something worth monitoring: https://simpleflying.com/breaking-mexico-regains-faa-category-1-status/ Very interesting stuff. God, I love when St. Louis people tell us, their "little brother city", how things work and how we have no way to get what they have. The main AvGeek and STL aviation new sources is posting about how staying 3x is worrisome, not sustainable etc. I trust what he says Ok ... that's scary yo...

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments
LH launched RDU and MSP. Also restarted SEA. A slate of US cities also received increased frequencies or upgauge. STL was left untouched at 3x weekly. Plenty of chatter from STL netiziens that this is a bad sign. I guess LH previously dropped that 3x service isn’t sustainable long term. The worry n...

Only corporate travel provides enough paid premium revenue to assure the airlines when new destination decisions are made.
