Re: Misc Crossroads News
Dave, if you know that, then maybe you have insight into why the owner wants to keep it that way. It's inconceivable to me. If I were the owner, I'd be happy that I could make such a great contribution to the Crossroads and the city by developing or selling for development.

Re: Fantasy Retrofits: Barney Allis Plaza
Does anyone know who designed Barney Allis? Or Ilus Davis? Or the small plaza to the south of the Federal Building? I'm asking because of the similarities in design. I feel like all three were designed to make sense to people 20 stories up and not to be pleasant to people on the ground.

There are currently empty units. Demolition will occur in stages and residents will be given an opportunity to move into still standing, empty units.

"People always want the law to be what they want and not what it is."
And, today, we have a Supreme Court that has no problem making that 'want' come true for themselves.
First political thing I've posted on here in 20+ years. But, these are desperate times.

This didn't hurt Overland Parks chances. From the Business Journal: Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was an impetus for bringing the Hall of Fame to the area. Mahomes, a two-time Super Bowl champion, played baseball at Texas Tech University and is the son of Pat Mahomes, a former Major...

I'd have to say none were killed by KCT. They were killed by council people falling over themselves to prove sympathetic to KCT's goals, regardless of how ineffective its approach to increasing affordable housing and protecting renters is. They could have proposed policy changes that would work towa...
